House holiday rentals in Saint-Julien-les-Rosiers

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

A perfect little house to escape to! Ideally located in the Cevennes, super quiet, decorated with great taste and well equipped. With extra pool and beautiful pétanque track... And hosts available, responsive and very friendly!

Lena & Jean-Claude were fabulous hosts, very helpful & friendly but also discreet. The cottage is super, well equipped & very comfortable - the pictures do not do it justice! A/C in the bedroom was much appreciated! We loved the pool area & outdoor kitchen, & enjoyed barbecuing on the plancha. St Victor la Coste is an unspoilt, un-touristy Provencal village with a good bar/restaurant & boulangerie and great views from the ruined castle a 20min steep walk away. Easy journeys into Avignon, Arles, Uzes & to Pont du Gard. We loved our week in this beautiful cottage & hope to return. Merci Beaucoup Lena & Jean-Claude!

An incredibly pleasant place, a peaceful and bright environment. It was a real pleasure to stay in Alexandre's house: the rooms are spacious and pleasant, the outside perfectly maintained and Alexandre's welcome perfect, knowing that he was able to be very flexible with the arrival time. The village is particularly welcoming and beautiful. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

The place is simply sublime. The house is beautiful and the environment is a real postcard. It is a peaceful place, between stones and nature. The owners are adorable and Blandine is really responsive. Thank you very much.

The house in the small Hamau is very quiet and very private. The nature, the surroundings, the house and the pool are brilliant. We felt completely undisturbed. We had contact with Johanne several times by phone. She gave us a lot of tips and detailed explanations. We were even allowed to meet her mother Nathalie with her partner in person. As well as the neighbors, an artist who showed us his studio (out of sight) and who rebuilt all the Hamau years ago. They were all sooo warm! We spent unforgettable holidays here! We will definitely be back!

It is a nice place that look exactly as in the pictures, very peaceful and relaxing, the house had everything you need. Laura was pro-active and very responsive to give us local recommendations and clear instruction to reach the place. We were welcomed by Laura's parents who are both very friendly. We would definitively recommend this place!

We had a great time at Claude's place. The house is very well-equipped, everything is thought out for the comfort of travelers (high quality bedding). It's best to have a vehicle to fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the outdoors as much as we wanted, due to the capricious weather and voracious mosquitoes. Claude is really a real plus in this rental, very welcoming, good advice, while remaining discreet, which allows you to enjoy the stay in peace. The small touches (bottle of rosé, olives from the garden) made us very happy and were more than appreciated. We highly recommend this listing!

We had a great stay at the magnanerie du Monteil. The place is quiet and charming. We were able to benefit from Lydie's many tips on activities (hiking, canoeing, swimming in rivers, visiting charming villages, lunch in good restaurants). A perfect stay!

this house hidden in nature is the ideal place for nature and peace seekers. it is big enough for a large group without neighbors to hear or see any thing. a real recommendation in the hills of france

Nicolas is an attentive, caring, welcoming and very responsive host. We just spent 15 days and the good weather was at the rendezvous, for those looking for calm and tranquility is the ideal place! Christine and Philippe are welcoming, warm, available and concerned for the well-being of their guests. They were good tips for sites to visit, both in the Gard and in the Ardèche which is barely 10 km away Many places to visit including the Pont du Gard, the Pont d 'Arc and the Ardèche gorges by canoe, the Aven Orgnac cave, the Sautadet waterfalls, the Nîmes bullring....) The house is well equipped and local shops are in Barjac 3km away We had a great time!

Very beautiful functional villa. The pool, petanque court, barbecue and terraces are great! There's nothing missing. Be careful however of the road to get there which is not simple and the address which according to the GPS sends you to the other side of the village (Google maps)

This old converted water mill makes a lovely family house, perfect for all generations. It is isolated (no need to worry about children screaming in the swimming pool) and surrounded by beautiful countryside, with signed hiking trails in all directions. You can walk to the very attractive village of Lussan for an ice cream or drink, (but any sort of food shopping does mean a car journey.) Our group comprised grandparents, parents and three children (aged 3 to 8). The children loved the pool, the trampoline and the bikes. The adults enjoyed boules and molkii. (There's also table tennis and lots of board games.) Vincent, the owner, lives close by and we were amazed at how quickly and efficiently he came round to deal with any little problems.

Very good stay at Anne-Sophie and Patrick's. The photos are very consistent with the 6-seater jacuzzi facing the forest. Our hosts lived right next door but were very discreet and available if needed. Bonus: an electric citrus press for a super fresh orange juice (and a crepe maker)!
