Our gite is a charming stone house tastefully restored with the traditional French Style, in the heart of the countyside, surrounded by woods and field of the Natural Park of Périgord Limousin (30 km from Brantome). This location is perfect for nature lovers : walks, biking, canoeing on the Dronne, swimming in lakes (Saint Estephe, Saint Mathieu ...) river fishing and autumn harvest ceps. We will also give you some information as days of local market and places to visit because there are an abundance of medieval and renaissance villages and hamlets to explore within the region. La Berthussie

La Berthussie is situated at the edge of Cussac, a village in the Perigord/ limousine nature reserve: soft hills, lakes, historical sites, and lovely walking trails. Our peaceful and spacious house of 240 sq. m can easily host a family of 8. It is surrounded by a vast mature garden, a private pond just 50m from the house, a chestnut orchard and fruit trees. The supermarket is 5 minute walking distance, as are the boulangerie, a cafe- restaurant/ pharmacie and the weekly market square.

This family home is classified as a Historic Monument, and has been the subject of a major renovation project.
