Artist's house in Kyoto with a big cypress bath

DanielRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The time we spent at Jinn’s House was a highlight of our family trip to Japan. The house is perfectly appointed in a modern, but also traditional, Japanese style, with gorgeous details and a tranquil sculpture garden. The cypress tub is a dream. Jinn is the consummate host. He helped us with restaurant reservations and even arranged for an incredible private dinner with a local chef that was worthy of a Michelin star. We also took advantage of Jinn’s photography skills to shoot some family photos before departing. Five stars are not enough!!

Magasinn Kyoto | Stay in a Kyoto Local Magazine

A unique experience staying at Kyoto. Not exactly located at the most busiest area but this is what I like about this place. The staff are super helpful and friendly. Recommend to traveler who is looking for something not so “touristy”. Would love to be back!

2:KyotoModern MACHIYA with wood bath

PamelaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
This charming Airbnb home exceeded all our expectations. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, it’s conveniently located close to the local supermarket, great restaurants and public transportation. Visiting all the popular tourist spots in Kyoto is just a hop onto a city bus, which made exploration effortless. The house featured a beautifully designed shared tearoom, perfect for relaxing and enjoying tea in a tranquil environment. Sayumi and Yasuhiro were incredibly welcoming hosts, providing personalized recommendations and even maps of local attractions. Yasuhiro’s soba is the best! They even provided electric bicycles, making it easy to explore the area. The blend of traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern comforts created a unique and memorable experience. We highly recommend this home for anyone visiting Kyoto.
