You might see beaver who swim by under the willows at dawn and dusk and stop to nibble on the willow leaves, raccoon or deer. The rail trail is minutes away and is great for walking or cycling and goes right around Wood Lake (Turtle Bay pub is a great stop on this route) as well as along the shore of Kalamalka Lake right into Vernon. There are great hikes, skiing (Big White and Silverstar), mountain biking, golf and vineyards all around and there are buses to Vernon or Kelowna a short walk away
