Holiday rentals with a kayak in Salt Spring Island

My Family and I had a wonderful stay at Gabriel's property. We were a group of 8 adults and 2 children, and we all fit comfortably inside his home. There was a lot of seating available to dine together as a family, and a lot of separate areas for when we wanted some time for ourselves. The kids enjoyed exploring the beaches for different sea creatures when the tide was low. I would recommend water shoes or something more sturdy than flip flops. The sandy areas created strong suction against our soles, and there are a lot of rocks and shells around the shore area. During high tide, we were visited by some sea lions in the distance. The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked many of our meals and there were ample pots, pans, seasonings, plates and cutlery available for our use. The property was clean, and it good condition. Plenty of towels were provided for the beach and hot tub. I would recommend this property for large groups who want a peaceful beach vacation.

We came down to run a grad retreat for our youth program. Steve went above and beyond to make us feel welcome by decorating for the special occasion and leaving us with yummy goodies. We loved all the amenities, especially the outdoor spaces. Thank you for being such a great communicative host! We will be back!

Amazing home. Very comfy place to stay.

What a great spot! Nestled in the woods in a peaceful and quiet setting this place is truly one-of-a-kind. The house is very unique with lots of character that sets it apart from the usual stays. It was clean and had all we needed. Our host Gramma Rikki was exceptionally warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, and we could not take advantage of all the outdoor spaces and amenities. We played pool, sat by the cozy fire and did some island exploring by car. All in all it was a very enjoyable and relaxing getaway despite the crummy weather. We hope to return one day and experience everything this wonderful place has to offer.

When we arrived Lois greeted us with a warm welcome! We felt comfortable right away. The house is beautiful and comes with everything you need to feel right at home. The property also has a gorgeous view of the mountains. We really enjoyed our stay. It was perfect.

The Lakehouse was beautiful and very peaceful. The house is spacious and comfortable with a terrific view! We really enjoyed having access to the paddle boards and kayak and had a wonderful time on Shawnigan Lake.

Shauna was really responsive and helpful if we had any questions. The view of the lake was beautiful and the space was comfortable and worked great for our big group.

We had a small group from work gather at April’s place and it was fantastic. So much space for us to spend time together. Everything was set up for us to have an amazing time: the pool was warm and so clean. There are tons of thoughtful touches in the home and the kitchen is incredibly stocked. It’s just a dream, we are so thankful! Our group wants to come back next year! Thank you!!!!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful lake-side cottage. The place is right on the lake with amazing views. The interior is super cozy, with comfy couches and beds. It's one of those places where you immediately feel at home. Our hosts were incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful. We would love to come again!

Lovely stay at Maple Ridge Cottages, cute little cozy space to hangout by the lake. This would be the perfect place in the summer while you can jump into the lake and use the provided water equipment (canoe, paddle-boards) enjoyed the wood burning fireplace at night and cooked our own meals on the BBQ. Only a short driving distance to town.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Jennifer's quaint, characterful, cozy cottage. The location, property, and home were charming, with lovely, mature landscaping, fields of grass, water view framed by trees, and a private little beach. The antique furniture, lace curtains, and multiple vases of fresh-picked flowers and greenery all added romantic touches. The master bed was very comfortable and Jennifer kindly customized the bedding to accommodate our feather allergy. Although the property is a compound with other cottages, the setting was extremely private both indoors and out, on account of the large lot, separate access, and screening of mature trees. The wi-fi was weak, so perhaps not the ideal location for working, but perfect for a romantic getaway!

My sister and I had a lovely time staying at Bill and Ashley’s cottages. The cabin was the perfect little size, and equipped with everything we needed to cook lovely meals and enjoy a fun relaxing weekend. Big thanks to Bill for lending us a guitar capo when we realized we had forgotten ours! Say hi to Zoey and Louie for us, can’t wait to visit again :)

The cottage and surrounding area was extremely peaceful and absolutely beautiful. I recommend coming out here if you want true relaxation

We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back in the summer. It was a very comfortable house for our large family. Beautiful area, very easy to find and get back and forth.

Amazing place to stay. My kids love the cottage and spend most of the time outside playing in nature. Ashley was quick to respond. We will definitely would like to come back here again.

We have stayed at these cabins multiple times now and always enjoy our stays here - our group of husbands has stayed here many times on boys’ weekends and we’ve had our own girls weekend here too. This was our first time staying as a group of couples and it was incredible as always. The hosts are extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful, and the cabins themselves are perfect for a weekend of fishing on St Mary lake. This is one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever stayed; sitting on the end of the dock just listening to nature, watching the eagles fish all around us, is pure bliss. The cabins themselves are cozy and clean, with nice beds and linens, and everything you need to cook up great meals in the kitchen or on the bbq. If you are coming to Salt Spring for a getaway, these cabins are an amazing value and perfect for anyone looking to connect with nature. We love it here and recommend this resort to anyone that wants to visit Salt Spring.

Trevor’s cabin was perfectly situated on Magic Lake. The view was beautiful. My family enjoyed the quiet days and cozy space. It felt like a home away from home!

The cabin had all of the accommodations we needed. It was nice to be able to have a fire during the cooler hours, and to be able to walk down to the docks. We bought delicious frozen pizza and lasagna from the store for our first night there.

We loved our stay and wished we had planned a longer trip. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We can’t wait to come back.

A beautiful and serene stay at this adorable cottage. Lots of love and care have gone into ensuring a most pleasant stay. Just a short drive from Gagnes village for restaurants and local artisans galore. Host was always responsive when needed. Bed was super comfy and the heated bathroom floor was a delight during the cooler evenings. Would highly recommend this quaint stay!
