“Aimee and Peter's place was exactly what I needed; a comfy, peaceful and relaxing retreat. The location is perfect for hiking in the Chuckanut Mountains and grabbing some delicious food from Bellingham. The views from the deck of the lookout were absolutely gorgeous. The bathroom was a quick walk to the back of the house as was the hot tub which was so nice after my hike. Aimee and Peter were quick to respond and helpful when I needed extra utensils. The couch/bed and recliner were very comfortable and I loved watching all the birds come to the feeder outside on the deck. Everything about The Lookout was wonderful and I will definitely be back!”
Gorgeous modern studio in a forested setting, this is a unique space with thoughtful design. The Studio is a ten minute drive from Bellingham, with seashore and mountain trails nearby. Our special place has offered a base for adventure, rejuvenation and re-connection and provided "Il Dolce Far Niente" - The Sweetness of Doing Nothing. Meeting accurate expectations is important to us, so please read our entire listing description before you send a booking request. Thank you!
“Aimee was a kind host and allowed us access to charge our EV. She also lent us towels for our dog, who got a bit dirty on our hikes. Privacy was great. We had a lot of space as a family of 3 + a small dog. We also barely noticed our proximity to her house. Excellent location for hikes and access to Bellingham. Only the loft area has screened windows, so for us in mid-August, the place got really stuffy during the day. We didn’t try the AC unit, but to let a natural draft in, you have to also be okay with bugs. There’s a lot of natural light, but not actually many openable windows. The nearby trains are noisy and blare their horns many times a night. Earplugs are available, but if you’re a light sleeper like my wife, they will not prevent you from waking at night. We loved our stay and have already recommend it to others!”
Here's a beautiful northwest-style waterfront home on Chuckanut Bay. Panoramic windows, a full designer kitchen, built-in sound system, a big patio, and instant beach access.
“A spectacular place. Quite possibly the nicest Airbnb I have ever stayed in (and I’ve stayed in a lot!) We had an extended stay here, a little over 2 weeks long, and we were extremely pleased. The views are just fantastic. The space is very spacious, with so many thoughtful touches it feels like a boutique hotel. We worked for 1 week and internet supported both my husband and I on video calls at the same time. The kitchen is fully equipped with all of your cooking and baking needs. Not to mention beautiful glassware, orchids and other plants everywhere, a fireplace, two TVs with Netflix, etc., coffee pods, slippers and robes, soft towels, laundry, and surround sound (even in both bathrooms). The deck is quite private and humongous. I enjoyed yoga on the deck listening to the ocean. Carol lives in the next house over and is very responsive and friendly, her hospitality was great! Thank you for such a wonderful stay!”
