“B&B La Panoramica is an excellent place to stay if visiting Morano Calabro. It is not right in the town, but offers a wonderful view of the old town & is only a 5 minute drive from the centre. the room was well-appointed and very clean and we enjoyed swimming in the delightful pool. Cristina was very helpful & made extra efforts to make sure we had everything we needed, including booking our restaurant for dinner.”

“We so enjoyed our time staying with Stefania at Il Comignolo and highly recommend it to anyone looking to have an authentic Calabrian experience. The breakfast provided was so delicious and special and we could tell much thought and care was put into making the breakfast a unique experience. We ate foods typical of the region, with each and every ingredient locally sourced (Fresh ricotta from a shepherd on the mountain, honey, figs, juice, etc. -- all local and tasty). The breakfast was matched by the warm hospitality and conversation with Stefania. Not knowing much about Civita before coming, we were also so thankful for Stefania's recommendations. As an expert on the region, she wrote her own guide (complete with pictures, recommendations, stories and history) to Civita that we used to venture around the town and take the walking trails to explore the mountain and valley. She also recommended us a great local beach within 20 minutes driving (Lido Calypso) that we had such a nice day at. It felt extra special and the attendants there had no idea how two Americans found it! The proximity to restaurants and the town center of Il Comignolo was also unbeatable. We had a nice time at the pizzeria a few doors down, as well as an excellent little restaurant called Ristorante Kamastra (great for vegetarians like us). We'll never forget our time in Civita, largely thanks to Stefania's warm hospitality at Il Comignolo. Locals here talk about how they embrace a "slow lifestyle", taking time to enjoy each part of life and value what's around you -- we're grateful to have had the chance to experience it.”
