Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in San Carlos

We enjoyed a quick two night stay with Katherine and Michel. What a beautiful property! We appreciate the welcoming hosts; recommendations for incredible hikes; and that the studio was so spacious, clean, comfortable and well-equipped. As others have mentioned, the balcony is dreamy. What a joy to have morning coffee with the plants, trees, birds, and the sun rising on Mt Picacho!

Good apartment. As indicated in the advertisement, there was no shampoo or soap. This should be taken into account. Also that you have to take dishwasher tablets with you, otherwise you can't do anything with the device.

We stayed for 5 weeks from Jan 27-Mar3. On Day 2 I booked for next year - that tells you how impressed I was with Mariajose and Diana's place. It is beautiful - exactly like what the pictures describe. There are so many wonderful pools in the complex and the beach is spectacular. You can literally walk for miles at low tide. The cliffs and caves as you walk along the shore are so interesting to look at. There is a restaurant on the site and one that you can walk to at the next complex Rio Mar and several others that are a short drive away. It was very quiet most of the time with most of the visitors being from Canada and the United States. On weekends Panamanian familes would come down and it would be a little busy but other than Carnival when it was extremely busy and people were partying it is normally quiet and very laid back. If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax you won't be disappointed. The apartment is well equipped and very comfortable.

Great spot … you rent again

We spent 28 days in May at this beautiful oceanFRONT condo (down the elevator and past the pool to toes in the sand —better than expected! Larry, our host, met us at check-in and was always quick to respond. Grounds, gym, and pools were immaculate. The condo was clean, updated, and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to cook and live with ease. Beach/pool towels were also provided. Note - watch out for the platform bed corners—we hit our shins a few times. The ocean view made our stay—floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area and bedrooms, plus an ocean view from the master shower. We loved spending mornings and evenings on the balcony, relaxing on the comfy furniture and enjoying the sights and sounds of the ocean. The beach and development were peaceful and quiet throughout our stay. Electricity was billed separately but only slightly more than our summer costs in Texas. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Tere and Jessica were very good hosts, the apartment is a spacious and very comfortable apartment, with everything you need for your stay. Communication was always great.

Loved our stay at Manuel's place. The hosts were very responsive and friendly when we communicated with them. Always on top of everything. The condo has a beautiful view where you can enjoy the sunrise and sunsets.

The place is perfect for a weekend with family, the apartment complex has pools and amenities for children and teens, and is at a walking distance from the beach. The apartment has all to make you feel comfortable and also there is a small restaurant by the pool/beach area. I look forward to come back. Beautiful place.

The place is beautiful, clean, well located with a huge balcony facing the beach. The apartment has everything you need to rest, enjoy a nice meal, or work (internet is very fast!). Rio Mar is a peaceful and luxury community next to the beach with a restaurant on site. Patrick is a great host and very responsive. We had a wonderful time there and would definitely go back again!

Jennifer was extremely responsive. There was a problem with one of the A/C units. Jennifer arranged for a technician to come troubleshoot it on a Sunday! Please note that the guest pays for electricity used during their stay. The property manager takes photos of the meter upon arrival and at departure. It was only $25 per week but guests should be aware.

This is the fourth time my husband and I have visited Panama and our first to stay at Rio Mar. Our stay in Keith’s condo was lovely and relaxing. The view from the many windows gave us a panoramic view of the ocean with the morning sun coming up on our balcony. The beach was a short walk from our door. The condo itself was amply furnished the way that we enjoy with spacious areas throughout. The kitchen had everything to make our stay enjoyable and having three full baths was a bonus. We had a few glitches with the condo but Sery was quick to correct them. Our stay was for four weeks with the first two on our own and the last two spent with two friends. We enjoyed the four different pools, the poolside restaurant and the many choices of seating in the common areas. There were many amenities available if one wished to use them. The cleanliness of the grounds show that Rio Mar takes pride in their surroundings. We would not hesitate to visit again.

A very comfortable place to stay. New artifacts. Ideal for relaxing. The kitchen is somewhat small, but functional. The Host is always attentive to any need, good communication with quick and timely responses. Rather recommended for families, not so much a group of friends.

Yuli's place is absolutely beautiful and very homely. From the welcome to the exit everything was flawless. Adrian was amazing as well as very helpful with any of my questions. Well recommended and I would return another time for sure .

This home was perfect! In a luxury, private peaceful gated community of Buenaventura. Home was exactly what we were looking for while celebrating our 25th anniversary. You can lounge by the backyard pool or walk 50 feet and play in the hotel pool! Very well stocked kitchen. Comfy beds and last but not least it always so reassuring to have a good host that you can rely on. Sandra and Esi were just that!

The place was really nice and our host was very responsive. The terrace and the pool area were our favourite spots. The house is spacious and beautiful. Paradise point is also well kept and very safe. We had an inconvenience happen during our stay and she was quick to send someone to come solve it. She also allowed us to check in a bit earlier which is always appreciated. The kids, my husband and I had a wonderful weekend and look forward to coming back.

What a great AIRBNB! Every need catered for right down to a clothes airer for drying out swimsuit after using the pool. We are a family of 5 and the space was perfect. The most equipped kitchen of any Airbnb we’ve stayed in, including spices, containers, cold drinking water on tap even boiling water on tap! Warm showers and comfy beds Aircon throughout except in kitchen but a large fan is supplied there very adequate. The communal swimming pool area was really perfect for the kids to swim while we relaxed in their social area. We loved the convenience of Alexa too! Thank you!

We loved the place, we were a group of friends and really enjoyed all the recreational areas I had! The host is very friendly!
