Beautiful landscape. Wish we could have stayed more than one night. Home was great and close to the airport. Great way to welcome us to Costa Rica

The best place we've visited in SJ! The place was clean when we arrived. Check-in was easy. Indoor parking is ideal in these rainy seasons. The place is perfectly equipped. Having 1 and 1/2 bathrooms is super convenient. It will definitely become our #1 in East SJ.

Calling this home “little” is not quite accurate, because it is much more spacious than some of the other places we have stayed. The rooms are large and well laid out. The kitchen is a bit informal but it has everything you need. There are ceiling fans and a nice breeze that keep it cool. Lee is a great host who has lived in the neighborhood for many years. He is friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is colorful and full of historical buildings. There are many parks and restaurants nearby. Overall, this home provides great value, and l highly recommend it.

We were seduced by this magnificent house with old charm. Interior decorated simply and tastefully. The house has everything you need. Please note that the parking space is not suitable for large cars. We recommend this beautiful place and will definitely return!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Marcelo’s place. We only stayed a couple of nights. Wishing we had more time there. The place is very nice and well furnished and decorated. Very quiet neighborhood. Lots to do in the area, including dining and shopping. We Will definitely stay again when we are back in town.

Very nice loft style apartment with really big windows and a beautiful balcony overlooking the entire city with view of the mountains in the background as long as you look for the name of the building, you will be OK

Good place to stay in a good location. The buildings very nice. Can be very noisy due to the trains (especially early morning until night) Host was communicative Be aware that replacements for items may not always be available (this is understandable) but could be inconvenient.

I had a great stay at Dominique’s AirBnB in Barrio Otoya. I was in San Jose for a week to explore some of Costa Rica’s capital and to do some day trips to tourist spots outside the city. The AirBnB was in a great location both for visiting museums and the National Theatre in downtown San Jose as well as for checking out coffee shops and restaurants in nearby Barrio Escalante. Dominique was a responsive host for check in and check out and also offered good local recommendations for activities (I arrived the weekend of the Transitarte festival which was a fab rec!) and places to eat (Cafe Otoya is a must!). The AirBnB has two stages to entry so feels very safe and secure (plus security camera!) on a quieter street, but is close to a pick up point for guided tours (across from the La Linea Bar). Overall, I would happily return here if ever back in San Jose! A note for light sleepers/late risers: heed the note re. the trains, especially in the morning (didn’t bother me though!😁)

Quiet stay, everything as described by Seemore, we spent a short time at the accommodation but the location was very helpful for what we came to do in Costa Rica, regards!

The house was clean and had enough to live a long season, if needed. It's not big, but it doesn't stay small either. The common areas were very well maintained, with explanations in all of them about the operation and the rules. The pool was bigger than it looks in the pictures. Some more sunbeds would be appreciated. The gym had a good variety. Nearby to the apartment there is a supermarket and some restaurants.

This place was the best on Airbnb in San Jose! I looked at a bunch and this is in the best neighborhood, has two bedrooms with quality linens, each with TV and its own bath, laundry, is impeccably clean, quiet, safe and has all new, modern appliances. Don’t waste your time looking anywhere else as this one is a true hidden gem.

We had a great time in the apartment! Alexander was very communicative and sent us great recommendations for restaurants in the area. The place was spotless, and a very handy jumping off point to explore San Jose. The only small problem was the very brief check-in window, it's only available from 3-5. This is posted in the instructions, and I'm not sure how we missed it, but just make sure this works for you when you book! Otherwise, great place.

Marco Antonio's place is in a perfect location for both downtown and the night life of San Jose. If you like beer, this is the neighborhood for you. The place is quite secure and a very nice looking modern building. The inside is French bulldog themed so I hope you like them. The apartment itself is very nice with all the amenities you need. Beds were comfortable and the view is amazing. Marco Antonio is very responsive to messages and helped us out when we needed assistance. Really a great host. One warning I would give anyone is that the apartment is next to the commuter train. This train starts running early in the morning and blows its horn loudly. You can very clearly hear the train in the apartment and if you are a light sleeper this will definitely get your attention. Overall this is great place. As long as the train isn't a problem for you, I think this is a perfect place to stay in San Jose. You will be in great hands with Marco Antonio.

Comfortable stay in a great location, close to plenty of restaurants and museums. Check out the rooftop for a nice view of San Jose! Host was responsive and easy communicate with.
