Our yurt offers a sweet retreat in the woods about 10 miles outside of Bayfield. We are located on a small working organic farm with a high tunnel, gardens, apple trees, and rustic accommodations. We are close to great outdoor recreation near Lake Superior and are about 6 miles from Meyers Beach in the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Our property is located on 40 acres and is very remote. We are on the edge of thousands of acres of county land. The perfect escape!
“This yurt was a unique and an enjoyable experience for our group of 4. We were only there for one night, but the place was a good mix of cute and rustic for the short time we were there! Stars at night were amazing, outhouse was clean and one of the more positive outhouse experiences we’ve had :). Be sure to pack accordingly with bedding and clothing for your weather as the yurt got a bit chilly for us (early September), but we brought good blankets. The top of the yurt can be opened a bit to create good airflow if you were visiting in warmer weather. Would have been nice to stay longer and enjoy the fire pit. Fridge was large and kitchen looked like it was well stocked with helpful cooking tools (we didn’t end up using them). A great place to stay out in nature without having to do the work of setting up a tent and camping gear! And more protection from rain and winds ;)”

“Fully enjoy Bayfield from this amazing home. From the awesome kitchen, cool interior decorations, comfortable bed and furniture to the amazing deck with a lovely view of the lake, this Airbnb has everything for a great stay in Bayfield! My husband and I wanted to get away for a few days and this home was the perfect place. The house is in a quiet area and just 2 short blocks to town, but sits on a hill with a gorgeous view of the docks and lake and a big deck to lounge and enjoy a meal. There is a nice gas grill for guests to use out front. Everyone in town is being very careful re Covid so while there were places to eat inside with a mask, we easily picked up food and brought it back to the house for dinner. (The food at the Bayfield Inn was delicious). We brought some groceries and steaks with us from home, but there is a small grocery store in town as well. If you are planning meals, I would suggest bringing some groceries with you as the store is fairly small. There is a lovely hiking trail under the old iron bridge that begins 2 blocks away on Washington St. but you can walk over the bridge just near the house. Don't miss this trail and the apple trees near the entrance while exploring the town! Note: the only negative is that the wifi is spotty in the house. We were not concerned about that as our focus was on kayaking, hiking, and reading. Molly was a wonderful host and we would be thrilled to stay at this beautiful home again! Thank you-”
Explore thousands of acres of the Bayfield County Forest and enjoy endless miles of exceptionally maintained non-motorized recreational trails. The yurt has direct access to CAMBA mountain bike trails and Mt. Ashwabay ski trails. The landscape is also spectacular. Take in the panoramic views of Lake Superior and the Onion River valley. This is a rustic, minimally maintained yurt set in the middle of the county forest, so come prepared to relax, unwind and explore the wonders of the north woods.
“This was beyond incredible. We loved it. Large, comfortable beds - something I was not expecting for a yurt. Provided everything you could need. Such an awesome space, incredible views. I posted a photo on social media and had probably a dozen people want a link to the space as well - great stay!!”
