Torre Alta Lodge are cabins located atop a mountain surrounded by jungles. We offer magnificent, unparalleled views of the Turrialba a volcano, which is located directly across the valley from the cabins. We are focused on nature and sustainability.
“Annette’s property is absolutely breathtaking. The views from the top are not to be missed! We only stayed one night and found it to be the perfect way to unwind at the bed of our trip. We drove ourselves to the property and I will say that you definitely need a 4x4. You are climbing over rocks and steep muddy hills so that is the only way to access the property. The drive is well worth the views. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast on her property, which were great. We had the opportunity to see a sloth and did the horseback riding tour of the area. It was overall a wonderful stay and we hope to be back one day!”
Pura Vida. 600 sq ft Guest Cabina is located on the edge of a small pueblo in the middle of the largest coffee plantation in Costa Rica. It sleeps four and has hot water. It has a Jacuzzi overlooking a river and an active volcano. This is a unique property. Check out the photos.
“Travelers should expect two of the best hosts you could hope for in Bob and Helen. Friendly, helpful, thoughtful, would all be appropriate descriptions of these two hosts. Their place is very lovely and the location is exceptional. Bob and Helen's "second family", Francis and Fernanda (and their kiddos) were wonderful to meet. Aquiares is a very quaint little town and is very easy going. The grocery is an easy walk from their place and it isn't too hard to find a ride or take a bus down to Turrialba. There is plenty to do in the area and Bob and Helen are very good about helping you connect with the right people. We have traveled a few places in the world, this one was easily one of our favorite stays. Pura vida!”
Eclectic 3 bedroom home close to Pacuare, Costa Rica's world famous white water river, plus other high adventure real nature opportunities. Private hot tub, fireplace, observation deck. Comfort, privacy, a touch of luxury, yet easy access to towns. Cook, meals, driver available at extra cost. TURRIALBA VOLCANO ACTIVITY DOES NOT IMPACT VOLARE. The volcano is WEST of Volare and Turrialba Valley. Winds carry ash to San José, away from us.
“The photos simply don't do this place justice! We were in awe the moment we pulled into the driveway. The house is gorgeously designed and appointed - it's very obvious it was built as a home and not just a rental. Everything in the house was in working order (a first for us in Costa Rica!) and very cozy. The view from the deck is phenomenal. We got very detailed information from the host about the house and the surrounding area, and the housekeeper and groundskeeper were available and very helpful. Everything was clean and ready to go when we arrived, right down to wood laid in the fireplacem and fresh cut fruit in the fridge. Our rental car also had a flat, and the groundskeeper was very kind to take the tire in for repair for us! Would absolutely stay here again!”
