“The best part of our holiday in Italy! We had high expectations due to all the glowing reviews, yet the experience surpassed all of our expectations! The location is peaceful with beautiful views over the valley, the old city of Badolato, all the way to the sea. A car is definitely needed as the house is in a remote location atop a hill some 10 minutes from Badolato old town and 15 minutes from the seaside. When arriving make sure to choose the road uphill passing Badolato town as the other route suggested by GMaps is very rough. Having the entire property to ourselves was a nice surprise: we could enjoy the pool, the garden and the house without any worry. The place is very child-friendly even though it’s on a hillside. There is fencing around the terrace and pool area and an entrance gate to the road. The pool is large and deep and the water is fresh since there is an automatic system which pumps clean, fresh water to the pool constantly, cleaning it of any debris. The house is obviously an old one, and therefore has its quirks such as low water pressure in the shower. The air conditioning keeps the bedrooms cool, and overall there is everything one needs for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for cooking full meals, and there are all the needed ingredients such as condiments, coffee, oil, vinegar, flour, milk, cereal, and fresh herbs and citrus fruit from the garden. The lovely Daniela and Pietro visit daily to tend the vines and feed the family of cats and the chickens and rabbits living on the property. Fresh eggs are provided every day at the discretion of the farm’s chickens. The cats roam the property but do not enter the house. The hills below are home to other animals such as wild boar which we could even see (and hear) from afar during most evenings. The Ionian coast has lots of beautiful beaches to choose from. We especially recommend Caminia (and there a private beach called Lido Blanca Cruz) which is a 40-minute drive north from the house. You will find nice beaches much closer also, starting from Badolato Marina which is a 15-minute drive from the house. Overall, we could not have had a better stay and we hope to return one day!”

“We stayed in Soverato 1 week with my girlfriend and stayed at Mario's. The apartment is a studio apartment, with the right spaces for a couple. Very nice apartment recently renovated with good quality finishes. Very nice bathroom. There are all the necessary services. Great location for both the beach and nightlife. Despite the central location the apartment is very quiet.”

“Badolato is a village full of beauty and tranquility. From Angela's house the view is spectacular. From the terrace but also from the bed it is possible to enjoy the sunrise and an extraordinary panorama. You can even admire the sea. Luigi was special for his availability and we immediately felt at home. The apartment is located a few steps from the main square of the village and from the bus stop connecting Badolato village with Badolato Marina in 15 minutes. Luigi hosted us for an aperitif in his "catojo" restaurant, which he opened for the occasion. Wild artichokes ... suppressed .... bruschetta with local oil .... etc etc .. all genuine and delicious! we really want to thank Angela and Luigi for the beautiful hospitality. We will definitely be back.”
