Jose’s place is perfect for a solo traveler or couple. It is strategically located close to lots of good restaurants and bars and easy to get public transportation from. It stays cool during the day even without AC in the common space which can be a rare thing in Barranquilla. If you go during rainy season, just be aware there’s a large “arroyo” on the corner. If you’re working, the internet is very fast and reliable. Jose is incredibly responsive and was always ready to help when needed. We would definitely stay here again when back in Barranquilla.

Kelly was very communicative, helped me with all my questions. Without me asking he sent me the shop and restaurant contacts. The place has air conditioning in one of the rooms which is great for the heat in the area.
