It's a 20-minute drive to Saranac Lake and 35 minutes to Lake Placid. It's recommended to have your own vehicle or rental to best enjoy the Adirondacks. Because of its size taxis are expensive and an Uber may take some time to reach you. If you're flying in, the nearest airport, SLK, is 15 minutes away.

Sunset Cottage is only 15 feet from Tupper Lake with a sandy spot for launching canoes/kayaks and a large dock where you can moor your powerboat if you bring one. Dock seating and swimming with a dog friendly stair. Fire pit with firewood on the lawn with Adirondack chairs for your use. Two, kayaks come with the rental. Nestled in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains, this newly-built cabin is located outside of Saranac Lake, directly off of the Adk Rail Trail, a 34-mile recreational trail for biking, walking, x-country skiing, or snowmobiling. The Little Clear Pond trail head to the historic Seven Carries in the St. Regis Canoe Wilderness is three houses away. Lake and beach access off of the trail head, too. So quiet you can hear the wildlife at night while you watch the stars.
