Comfortable first floor room in end of terrace Victorian house, situated in desirable Cliftonville. A short stroll to the seafront, Margate old town, Turner gallery and Dreamland. Tea and coffee making facilities in your room.
“Sparklingly clean stylishly decorated house with lots of lovely touches. We loved the snacks, tea and coffee making facilities in the room, the smell of fresh croissants in the morning and Janie's excellent hospitality. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bed linen was all top quality (like sleeping on a white fluffy cloud!). Close proximity to the beach and old town, would highly recommend staying at Janie's, doubt you'll find a better value option.”
Surrounded by fields and orchards, our self contained, detached annexe makes an ideal retreat for a break in the countryside. The property overlooks the paddock where the goats and horses graze. A short drive to the nearby seaside towns of Whitstable and Herne Bay, historical Canterbury and the glorious beaches of East Kent, it is the perfect base to explore the area. A suitable space for families, couples and groups of friends and a great location for walkers, cyclists and sightseers.
“Wonderful, spacious place in idilic countryside, just a couple of minutes off the Thanet Way. We are just back from a weeks stay. Everything had been thought of, essentials were provided on arrival (butter, bread, cereal, croissants, marmalade) and there were store cupboard staples available (coffee, tea, sugar etc). Fresh flowers and lots of fluffy towels to top it off. Alison provided a small BBQ for our use as well which was perfect. The kids loved the animals (horses, goat and wild rabbits) and the view over looking the fields is gorgeous, with sun until sunset. We took bikes and cycled along the coast. Visited Minnis Bay (sandy beach at low tide, free parking), Tankerton and Whitstable, Hernebay (rides and crabbing for the kids), Sandwich bay (wild quiet beach) all recommended. Finally we also walked one evening through the orchards to the Gate Inn and had dinner in the garden which was lovely. Alison was a great host very responsive and helpful. Thank you we will be back!!!”
A perfect place to self isolate. Located in the countryside yet very close to Canterbury , University & Whitstable. This room is completely private and not overlooked, with its own private patio. A great place to unwind but also convenient for all of Canterbury's many attractions. Breakfast is left for you in the kitchen to be prepared by yourself at leisure. The breakfast is as listed; tea or coffee, toast and butter and two types of jam, yogurt and some fruit.
“Hazelwood house is set in an amazing location so quiet and peaceful but also easy for getting to Whitstable and Canterbury. We had everything we needed for a very enjoyable few days. Diana is a good host checking you are happy with everything and then leaves you to enjoy your holiday. Highly recommended.”
