The partition walls are made of frosted glass, but with a touch you can make them transparent so you can appreciate the environment in its evocative entirety. In the Sasso, you can admire the fossil shells that emerge from the tuff, take a shower inside the cave and touch the walls that emerged from the sea a million years ago.

This historical house has stunning vaulted sandstone ceilings and rooms decorated in Scandic-Italian style. A spacious bedroom, en-suite bathroom and a small lounge area with private entrance from the street. A fantastic location but not for the faint hearted, lots of steps, but it's worth it. Bring your sneakers !

The best experience was being warmly attended to by the co-host Sergio. We loved Mikaela’s place, really a gem. She sent a video to help us find it, which worked beautifully. Wandering the old town was amazing, especially in the early evening light. We loved learning our way around, and figuring out the different ways to the apartment. The beds were comfy and we loved the bathroom. We also loved the terrace and enjoyed coffee and breakfast on it, really loving the view.

This was a special experience for our family for sure! Also, the location of the home is perfect for exploring the entire old town of Matera. Endless gorgeous views around every corner.
