“Rachel & Steve have a perfect location off the beaten path for those looking to be surrounded by nature and not tourists! It was a quiet oasis in the jungle that fed our senses and provided a relaxing and rejuvenating retreat from the rest of the world. The location was amazing but the pool took it to another level. Upstream is a beautiful waterfall, bit of an adventurous hike but well worth it. Rachel and Steve were able to assist in scheduling several excursions for us. We had surfing lessons, and horseback riding to Waterfalls. On their recommendation we went on a mangrove tour, well worth it for wildlife sightseeing! Truly looking forward to going back!”
Enjoy privacy with great views, stylish open living and garden bathroom, perfect hideaway for honeymooner and nature lovers.
“Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 3 nights and I can tell you that we really enjoyed this place. We are both from Costa Rica and wanted to have some days off the rush of the city and this was a great place to stay. It was very quiet and relaxing, the pool is very nice and there is a lot of nature around. You can hear the Morete River from here. The Orange Hose is amazing: super clean, very stylish, with lots of nice details and the outdoor shower is amazing! Udo is very nice and a great host. He helped us with many tips on what to do, where to eat, what beaches to go (ask him about the path to a hidden beach). We really appreciated his hospitality. We definitely recommend staying at the Orange House.”

As many guests say, if you spend a lot of time on our balcony you'll see more wildlife here than you will at the national parks. Our property borders the biological corridor Paso de la Danta so we're regularly visited by lots of wildlife, like monkeys, sloths, toucans, deer, pigs, dantas, aracaris, anteaters, coatis, hummingbirds, etc etc. **3/6/20 updated to 50 mbps fiber optic internet, the best available in our area.**
“We spent a full week at Jeff and Wendy's place and loved every minute of it. It is an amazing house, in a natural wonderland, above a great little town. The house is very attractive and comfortable--luxurious, even. And Jeff and Wendy have furnished it with everything you could want--including books on the mammals, birds, and plants you will see all around you. We saw toucans and aracaris in the cecropia trees in front of the house every day, and were regularly visited by other species of birds as well.. Also lots of agoutis and monkeys on the grounds. And with a little effort and luck, you can spot peccaries, sloths, and anteaters. A piece of advice: if you visit in dry season, pack some earplugs. The cicadas can get unbearably loud in the middle of the day, but earplugs solve that problem so you can enjoy the pool area whenever you want. Jeff will provide you with details and location information for many great beaches, waterfalls, and restaurants in the area. Each one different and magical. And Dominical is a fun little town. Try to be there on a Friday morning for the farmers market--a great variety of local produce, prepared food, and artisans' work. I highly recommend a visit to Nature Lover's Paradise, for as long as you can make it!”
