Villa holiday rentals in Savegre de Aguirre

We were staying at a nearby Airbnb when it lost power. I found Lizette’s place and messaged asking if they had power. She was quick to respond that they did. Their self check in option made our emergency last minute check in a breeze. Any time we needed something she was so quick to respond. The place itself is in an insanely gorgeous location. It’s a gated community and very safe. Beautiful sunrises/sunsets overlooking the ocean. We saw coati and iguanas. The place was incredibly clean. Like immaculate, really. It’s nearby to everything you need, about 3 minutes to town. Could not recommend this place enough it was an absolutely dream!

This place is a paradise. Off the beaten track in the supremely beautiful surrounding forested hills. The accommodation accentuates the tranquillity of the surroundings, with everything thoughtfully designed. Spotless and very comfortable, we had a very happy stay here. Matt and Megan were very helpful and welcoming. You can tell that they love the place and have made beautiful accommodations and gardens. We also loved the pool and pool area, again very nicely furnished. We saw Toucans, humming birds, frogs and Crested Guans. It was so peaceful. There was one other family staying in the nearby stand alone villa next door during part of our stay and there was plenty of space and privacy to share the gardens and pool. There is plenty to do in the local area like Nauyaca Waterfalls and Dominical is close by. We were tempted to bring our robust 2x4 car but we were glad we listened to the advice to have a 4x4 as the driveway needs it. All in all great value and a real highlight. Thank you!

Villa Temenos is simply fantastic! We had the most wonderful stay. Truly so peaceful and beautiful, with toucans and macaws stopping by in the trees outside to say hello. Henry, the caretaker, is the friendliest and kindest person around. It was truly the best trip to relax & unwind within nature. The location to town is great and super easy to run in and out for groceries or to grab a bite to eat. The outdoor living space truly makes the villa! My husband and I kept commenting on how we’d never spent so much time outside on a trip and we loved it! We were there during the start of the green season so were able to have perfect mornings and afternoons then hangout under the covered area to listen to the evening rain and storms. Dean was responsive, hospitable, and provided the most helpful home guide. Truly appreciated! We can’t wait to return. Pura vida!

This place is as beautiful as the photos & the view is unimaginable! It was our last stop on our tour of CR and such a beautiful and relaxing way to end our trip. The entire property management group were fabulous. We had responsive communication and great care. Do yourself a favor and book this house! Let me caution you one thing, when they tell you to make sure you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle it is NO JOKE! If it’s your first visit to Uvita, you have no clue what the roads are like there. I promise you it is worth the adventure up the hill to the house but take it from me, not just any suv will do. We ended up upgrading our RAV4 rental mid trip to a Toyota Fortuner with a proper 4 wheel drive system to enable us to actually make it to the house after our first attempt at the drive. Book this house and book the right vehicle and enjoy the amazing views!

We had an incredible one week stay! The villa was comfortable and clean and the view was priceless. We spent our mornings doing yoga on the deck and bird watching. We saw a lot of wildlife from the deck including toucans, iguanas and monkeys. We visited the local waterfall which was refreshing and also used this villa as a launch point for Nauyaca falls, Manuel Antonio park and surfing at Dominicalito. A perfect place to stay for our Costa Rica adventure. Pura Vida!

Everything is exactly as the pictures show. Only downfall was only a/c in the bedrooms. The extra pullout couch/bed in loft did not have a/c so we moved the mattress into the floor of room and used the loft area as a place to keep bags/clothes. No a/c in the bathrooms either was caused for us Americans to be less comfortable. Everything else was beautiful and the hosts were very quick to respond

Absolutely wonderful, beautiful, and safe place to stay in Manuel Antonio. Beds are comfortable , and I appreciated the variety of pillow softness. AC in the bedrooms is a luxury ! View is second to none, all rooms have a view! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook small meals. Housekeeping was a treat to have. We walked to shops, but there are some hills and few sidewalks. Uber is readily available about $4 to the beach. The walk to the nearby beach was too hilly for us, but we saw others doing it. My favorite thing about this place is the monkeys that frequent it :) we would love to come back again! Host was welcoming and helpful

Absolutely beautiful place. Paradise Pictures don’t do it justice. Sitting on the patio having coffee every morning listening to the sounds of the rainforest is a truly incredible experience. Everything you need is here. There’s a small marketplace and 2 spectacular restaurants about 500meters up the hill. You can walk to them but you better be in great shape. I would recommend driving. Also highly recommend 4 wheel drive vehicle.

Trip Dates: 5-30-25 / 6-8-25 Our stay at the Jungle Roost was amazing and enjoyed by all members of our family, (2 Adults & 2 Teenage Daughters, 15 & 17). Ismael provided awesome concierge service and went above and beyond to make our trip effortless and enjoyable. Communication was excellent from the time of booking until the day we headed home. Ismael helped arranged multiple services and activates/outings prior to our arrival, which was very helpful. Ismael was attentive and responsive to all needs and checked in regularly to ensure everything was satisfactory, and provided assistance whenever needed. I just want Ismael to know that we appreciated his professionalism and dedication to going the extra mile to ensure that we had a great experience during our vacation. Can't say enough about the Villa, beautiful surroundings, private, wildlife galore, we really enjoyed the privacy and the daily visits from the monkeys, birds and lizards and much more. Highly recommended the Roost.

What a house!! This was 100% perfect for our group of 8 adults! The location provides a gorgeous view of the ocean as well as wildlife up close…all 3 monkey species, the macaws & parakeets flying overhead & we even had a sloth outside our front door. The location is walking distance to the super or mini markets as well as many restaurants & bars; it’s a quick ride to the National park & beach. Had a few maintenance issues, which were taken care of quickly. The only downfall is the incredibly steep driveway to the house; it’s no joke! We met our excursion transportation & Ubers at the top of our driveway ( but within our “neighborhood”.) Those with mobility issues will definitely have trouble navigating it. This house has maid & laundry service as well as a safe in most of the rooms. We had a chef come into the villa three times. Chef Tito who was the recommended chef was already booked, so he had Chef Gerald take care of us. He was excellent. Highly recommend the villa.

Really special place!! The views are incredible and we saw so much wildlife from our beautiful wrap-around deck and the pool area, including monkeys, scarlet macaws and agoutis. Loved the privacy and serenity of the villa, but was a short walk to the Mariposa hotel. Would definitely stay here again!!

Our stay was magical. The house absolutely exceeded expectations from the minute we arrived. The view was spectacular, the pool was beautiful, the beds were comfortable and the decor was comfortable and inviting. A 10 out of 10!

This home is absolutely magical! Perched atop a mountain, it offers sweeping panoramic views of the ocean and the iconic Whale’s Tail beach—truly one of the most breathtaking views we’ve ever seen. Surrounded by treetops, we were treated to daily visits from howler monkeys, toucans, and other vibrant bird species, making the experience feel like a luxury treehouse retreat. The house itself is beautifully designed and fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The negative edge pool is a showstopper—floating there while taking in the endless ocean view was unforgettable. What truly sets this property apart is the host. Incredibly helpful and attentive, he provided concierge-level service, arranging our transportation to and from the airport, a rental car delivered right to the house, and even a private chef who cooked us some amazing meals. We could not have asked for more a better experience.

Very nice home in a convenient location to beaches and restaurants. Beautiful windows as expected from the name but the doors are so heavy it makes them a bit hard to negotiate. The kitchen was sparcely stocked. Plates and bowls are stacked about 6 feet high so a bit difficult to find unless you are over 6 feet tall. The oven was not working and we had to light the gas burners with a match (we do the same at home so no big deal but knowing this is advance would have saved a phone call). The dryer was also broken so we air dried our clothes and towels. We expect a home advertised with appliances to have working appliances so this was a disappointment as part of the reason for renting a home instead of a hotel is use of a fully functional kitchen and washer/dryer. Otherwise the home was beautiful and the pool refreshing after a day out.

Host was very responsive and friendly and their property was perfect for our five day stay! Any issues that came up or questions I had were always addressed immediately. The property was beautiful and well-maintained and very close to everything we needed to make our visit comfortable. All the windows allowed for a gorgeous view of the mountains and neighborhood each morning while we made and ate breakfast. And as Americans, we very much appreciated how well the air conditioners worked, too! It helped us adjust to the very warm/humid climate so we were always comfortable whenever we were at the property. We loved our stay and would definitely return if we made the trip down again. :) Thank you, Enson and Jessica!

My family of 5 stayed here for Spring Break 2025 for 6 nights, and it was incredible! Maggy was super responsive, and Kenny the caretaker was amazing—he booked two tours for us and helped with anything we needed. The house is peaceful, private, and absolutely beautiful—set high in the hills with mango trees, hiking trails, and stunning views. The pool was perfect after a beach day or hike. We saw toucans and birds on property but missed the monkeys. The bedrooms have AC, which kept us cool at night. Downstairs can get warm, but fans and airflow instructions helped. One morning during our stay the master bedroom AC broke but Maggy got us fans and it was fixed by the next day. You’ll definitely need a 4x4 to get up to the house. Try to arrive during daylight—we were delayed and arrived after dark, which made it tricky. But we contacted Kenny and he came by motorbike to guide us the rest of the way! It’s about 30–40 minutes to Manuel Antonio. Highly recommend. Pura Vida

Amazing property at the top of a hill. The views are incredible, you can see all the way to the ocean without another building in sight! The road is up is pretty steep, so be prepared. But that also means it's very private up there.

Lorna and Frank are great hosts. House is beautiful on the side of the hill right in the tropical forest. You have your private Toucans who welcome you every morning on the Papaya tree next to the pool. Views are stunning especially early morning (6am). We loved that house is very bright, so we could spot every little bug that decided to visit us. Extremely clean. Besides toucans there is plenty to watch. No spoilers here. YES you need 4 wheel drive car. Especially in the rainy season. YES you really need it. Can you make it with 2wd? You can when it’s dry. But after rain you won’t make it up the hill. Bring the binoculars. Yes you need them. Good flashlight might be useful as well. Pretty frequent, but usually short power outages. Dominical beach is not that great - but Uvita and Manuel Antonio are both stunning. Do the Rainmaker, you won’t regret a dime. On the way up to Platanillo the first fruit stand on the right is great and with local prices. We had wonderful time!

We had an unforgettable stay at this stunning villa in Uvita, Costa Rica! The property is beautifully designed with high-quality furniture and incredibly comfortable rooms. The highlight was the fantastic pool and spacious deck, which offered breathtaking sunset views. At night, we loved lounging on the deck under the glow of red light bulbs, enjoying the cool breeze and ceiling fans. The modern kitchen was perfect for preparing delicious meals, adding to the homey feel of the villa. A charming path from the villa leads to a secluded beach just a five-minute walk away. The beach itself is a hidden gem, surrounded by lush jungle, striking rock formations, and warm, swimmable waves—perfect for a relaxing day by the ocean. The hosts were exceptional, responding quickly to any questions we had and ensuring our stay was seamless. Their warmth and attentiveness made all the difference. We’re already looking forward to booking this incredible villa for our next trip to Uvita! Pura Vida!
