“Simply wonderful mid-week WFH getaway! From the initial inquiry through to our later than planned arrival communication with Jayne was quick and very helpful. Our goal was to find a comfy place close to nature from which we could work remotely by day and relax in the evenings. This place was perfect! The garden and views are beautiful and having our own terrace was a great place to unwind while enjoyint a glass of wine. Jayne provided lots of thoughtful touches including breakfast and everything you could possibly need. The bridleway down to town was a nice walk with covenient access to any amenities you might be missing (cafe, pub, Co-op). Although it wasn't mentioned, if you walk from the barn back down the driveway towards the main road in the evening you can catch the sun setting behind the fields - it was really a wonderful sight. I will end by saying the photos really don't do this place justice, I booked based on the reviews and am happy to add this one to the collection.”
Barway is a rural hamlet located on the cycle path to Ely, Soham, Wicken & Cambridge, our place is in a great location if you want a break out of the city. The house has recently been extended and completely renovated, there are a few areas that need finishing, but the house is warm and cosy. We will try and be as flexible as possible, if you would like to check in early please let me know. We both work, but we do have a key safe if you.
“We had a great stay at Joshua; we had the use of all the faculties & freshly baked pastries at breakfast. The location was great if you wanted to chill in a tranquil environment & there were plenty of places of interest to visit. Joshua / Sam were friendly & helpful, while giving you space to do your own thing & they have two beautiful dogs Ernie & Elsie; great nature, extremely friendly & fun. A great place to have a few days away. Pat/Tracey & R.Lee”

The village has three pubs, a Co-op & Chinese takeaway all within walking distance. Good for walks around the local marine or down The River Lark. Newmarket 20mins drive, Ely & Cambridge 30mins drive.
“Spent a very pleasant few nights in this detached converted annex that was more spacious on the inside than I expected. Hosts were available but not intrusive. Bed was firm and comfortable, annex clean, no kitchen but some basic facilities to use like microwave/fridge etc and we did not mind not being able to cook as there are plenty of takeaway food options not too far away. Ely and Cambridge were lovely to visit and we would certainly stay at Roger & Anna’s again.”
