That's exactly what you can experience in Jølet, the cabin that is specially designed to give an optimal feeling of closeness to nature. On the edge of a "jøl" (a type of riverbank), created by the river's thousand-year effort to reach the fjord, the cabin partially floats in the terrain. Situated completely by itself without close neighbors, but overlooking the cultural landscape and village, this is a perfect place for both relaxation and activity.

Majoitu luonnonkauniissa laaksossa keskellä kaurapeltoja ja hevoslaitumia. Matkaa lentokentälle on silti vain n. 20 min! Täällä ihastelet iltanuotiolla peuroja ja heräät aamulla linnunlauluun tai kanojen kotkotukseen. Teltan viereen muuttaa kesäksi myös kolme lammasta ja meillä asustaa lisäksi kanoja, jotka pitävät sinulle seuraa vierailusi ajan. Velkommen til Fjordbris! Her kan du få en overnatting i det naturskjønne området Dirdal med en uforglemmelig utsikt. Med kun noen få meter til fjorden får en nesten opplevelsen av å sove i vannet. Alt av fasiliteter er tilgjengelig enten i minihuset eller i kjelleren til butikken Dirdalstraen Gardsutsalg like ved. Gårdsutsalget ble i 2023 og 2025 kåret til Norges beste gårdsbutikk og er en liten attraksjon i seg selv. Rett ved siden finner du en badstue som kan bookes med like god utsikt.

Koskikara

A lovely cabin on the shore of Kalkkistenkoski. On the terace you can grill, eat, enjoy the evening sun, lounge on the deck chairs or see the local bird populations. The cabin also has a sauna, hot tub and an indoor fireplace. The cabins kitchen has the essentials for cooking and the barbeque and outdoor fireplace can also be used for cooking. The kitchen and sauna have warm water and drinking water will be delivered to the cabin. The cabin has an outdoor composting toilet.

Floating sauna on River Emajõgi

There is no overnight accommodation in winter, only a sauna. After sauna you can cool down in river. Sauna up to eight person. I also rent canoes 30 € per day. There is a gas stove for cooking and 12V and 230V electricity from battery station (1100hW).
