Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Scarborough State Beach

We loved this place! I loved the house decor and location. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the closest beach and there were lots of options for food. Narragansett beach was only 10 minutes away by car and had good food and shops as well! I would stay here again 100%.

Caroline’s place was great. She was a very responsive host and her place was as described. It was clean, spacious easy to get in and good location. There were lots of good restaurants and beaches nearby. Would definitely stay there again.

We had three couples in their house. The house accommodated that quantity without issue. Kitchen was appropriately stocked with tools and appliances. Two decks were available, with the top one containing a small gas fire pit...Nice at night. The lower one had a bar-b-que grill. We never used it, but it was a good size. The driveway accommodated three vehicles, one of which was a Hummer, with room to spare. The were very responsive when we had a question or issue. No complaints from any of our guests. No problem recommending this place.

An amazing stay! I stayed here with 8 of my friends and we had more than enough room. The house was in a perfect location - walking distance to the ocean and only a few minute drive to Narragansett Town Beach. Diane was BEYOND helpful and extremely responsive to all of my questions from the day I booked the Airbnb. I highly recommend staying here!!

We had a great time at Ryan’s house in Narragansett which was about a 5 minute walk from Scarborough beach and surrounded by a pleasant, walkable neighborhood. There was ample room for 3 cars in the driveway. Beds were comfortable. We had teenage boys with us so we cooked a lot (!) and found all the tools and dishes we needed, and even spices and oils, etc. The shed was stocked with outdoor cushions for the backyard furniture, beach chairs and other beach supplies, and fuel for the gas grill. Enough room for our stuff too - surf boards etc. The fire pit was great. The owners checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. (Thank you both for a good getaway for all! )

Katie’s house was beautiful for our girls’ trip. It is extremely walkable to restaurants and the beach, and her home is well stocked and very clean and comfortable! No complaints at all!!!

We had the best time the house is always amazing. We’ve stayed there before the yard is wonderful to play games with all your family. We just had the best best time anybody that rented this house would love it and have a great time as well. thank you, Jean Marie so much for sharing your fabulous home.

The house was just enough for our family of 6 (we are too big for a hotel room) and you cannot beat the location minutes from the beach on a quiet street. Laundry was an added bonus and amenities were plentiful (soaps, TP, kitchen items, beach accessories, etc)I was apprehensive about one bathroom, but the outdoor shower was helpful and a wonderful addition after a day at the beach. The house was better in real life than the photos - we were pleasantly surprised - and the deck was very spacious and offered great water views. Just minutes from the ocean and a quick walk for coffee and a bagel in the morning. Would definitely stay here again and am already trying to find time to make that work! Thanks Pamela!

We loved our stay! It’s perfect distance to walk to dinner downtown. Off street parking was a huge plus. Brennan gave us a great recommendation upon our arrival! Love the touch of having snacks and drinks in the fridge. Overall perfect place to stay at in Newport!

We loved the location overlooking the bay. Very beautiful mornings. Only a short car ride from Newport. Elaine was very helpful and offered early check in and late check out proactively - very nice of her.

This apartment was perfect and adorable. Every detail was perfectly cared for. The house was just beautifully decorated! The hostess even baked us a delicious Irish soda bread. It exceeded our expectations!!!

I stayed at Larna’s place for just one night and regret not booking for longer. This has been my favourite location I’ve ever stayed at and gave me a new love for Newport. The place encapsulates Newports charm with a coastal and updated theme in such a historical and amazing building. Larna and Dan supply quite literally everything you could think of if you forget to pack it. There were toothbrushes, body wash, snacks, extra blankets, even fresh muffins from the local bakery. The house felt so cozy. Dan was incredibly welcoming and kind helping with luggage upon arrival and showing us around the rooms. I recommend for groups of 2-4 people, I’d say 5 if someone is willing to sleep on the couch…which I would do as it was wicked comfortable! I highly recommend booking this stay, I wish I had more time spent here and will look forward to booking again and recommending to other people. I feel privileged to have spent time in such a fascinating location with such amazing history!

Marianne is wonderful. We had a few questions which she answered right away. The apartment is so nice! Underneath large trees so it didn’t get too hot on the hot day, but 2 a/cs in case they’re needed. One and a half bathrooms so no taking turns. Well stocked full kitchen - dishes, utensils, pots and pans. It is only 10 minutes away from Newport, but without the Newport crowds. The apartment is on the 2nd floor with steep stairs to reach it. If stairs aren’t for you, then this is not the place for you. However,if stairs aren’t an issue then I highly recommend staying here. It’s a lovely place with a lovely owner.

This was one of my top 5 airbnb stays for so many reasons! The weather was cool enough for a fire and then I could go to sleep with the breeze coming in the windows to the sound of the sea and then wake up to the sound of birds chirping! The hosts had thought of every kind of provision, including hard boiled eggs, pastries, light snacks and cold water. Coffee and tea for any time of day. The walk to the beach was perfect and then a fire at night made it exceptional. I will definitely be back!

Clean, cute, and convenient. You are only about 10-15 minutes away from days worth of things to do around southern RI, but can go back there and rest in the quiet and comfort as of you live there away from all the noise for a very reasonable price for where you are and what you get. Her beautifully maintained flower garden was definitely an extra perk to make the place even cozier than it is and gave a wonderful smell when hanging out on the covered porch in the evenings. The apartment was even bigger than I thought it was going to be and was perfect for me and my fiancé to be able to spread out and relax. The apartment was incredibly cleaned and well maintained from front room to kitchen to bathroom to bedroom better than any hotel I’ve stayed at while still keeping that lived-in charm that makes it feel like home. Linens were crisp and clean and we loved the cleanliness and softness of the bed, was definitely great for weary legs lol 110/10 for this place! Will stay again!

We had a lovely stay at Pelham Court! The location was absolutely amazing- walkable to so many things but quiet. The place was spacious, clean and homey. The LavAzza coffee machine was a great touch, as were the full size appliances (and built in ice maker)! On site parking was more valuable than anticipated. Just a short drive to all the other Newport attractions, and it was so nice to be able to know you weren’t losing your valuable Peking spot upon your return. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place in Newport!

Our stay at Trip and Christina’s place was excellent. It is perfectly decorated and we loved the peacefulness of deck for early morning coffee as well as enjoying our meals alfresco. Perfect location close to bus station for tours of Newport and transportation to the mansions. We unexpectedly arrived super and Christina was a gracious host and invited us in while she completed preparing the place for our stay. Very responsive and accommodating hosts.

This place was great! It was wonderful to stay in such a historic building. The apartment was very clean and tidy, the check-in/check-out instructions were very easy, and the host also provided suggestions for nearby restaurants. I definitely recommend this place!

We love staying here. This was our 3rd or 4th year in a row that we stayed here. It is a great location so close to the beach and the inlet. The unit is always neat and clean and Courtney and Chris are great hosts.

This is a great location for accessing the heart of Providence. The apartment is charming, located in a historic, through-block arcade - the pre-cursor of the indoor mall. We enjoyed the quirky charm and the personality of the space.
