Beautiful period home on loch, wonderful views

Wonderful period home in Perthshire in the Scottish Highlands, in a stunningly special location on Loch Earn. Great for a 1-2 week holiday, or for a short break. Walking, cycling, watersports, etc - or just relaxing! Excellent location for exploring - day trips in all directions. Easy to reach - Edinburgh or Glasgow airport just over an hour away. Lovely year round – in summer, south facing sun and dining on the decking; or in winter, walks and warming by the log fire. Views always!

Highland loch-side, 2 bed house with amazing view.

"Dail an Fheidh" (gaelic for "Deer Field") is a 2 bedroom house situated on the beautiful shores of Loch Linnhe. The house is set in an acre of field and has direct access to the loch. There are amazing views over to Ben Nevis and red deer graze near the house, all year long. A 40 minute drive will take you to the popular town of Fort William or head west to explore the stunning Ardnamurchan Peninsula. You can use the Corran Ferry to access the house, but please note, we are not on an island.

Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". Bracken Barn is situated on a hill overlooking Cuil Bay and Loch Linnhe, with views stretching down the Morvern Peninsula, past the small islands of Balnagowan, Shuna and Lismore…and all the way to the Isle of Mull. Recently converted from an agricultural shed, it is now an extremely comfortable holiday home – a silk purse from a sow’s ear! The high-ceilinged sitting room has a wood-burning stove and with large picture windows, guests will surely never tire of the ever-changing loch views.

A bothy bedroom in the heart of the Cairngorms

Connected to the old cruck barn this is a compact, cosy, self contained bedroom. It’s set on one side of the courtyard with separate key access so you can come and go at will. If you love the outdoors, we think you will love it here. We have spectacular views of the Cairngorms, with excellent walks from the door. Rustic, with loads of character, the room has a comfy king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. If you need mod cons or lots of space this may not be the place for you!
