Shepherds hut holiday rentals in Scotland

This was an absolute haven of peace and tranquillity The hut was filled with lots of lovely touches Rachael is sweet, helpful and thoughtful My Daughter, Grandchildren and myself loved every minute. the children did not want to leave, some tears shed. They said it was their favourite holiday, where else could they feed the horses in the morning with their pyjama's and wellies on.

A fantastic place to stay, close to the town an easy walk to the pub but quiet and serene when you want to wind down. The hut was comfy and cosy well stocked with everything you could need. The double bed under the single makes for some entertainment when the person one the inside needs to get up in the night but 10/10 would definitely stay again!

Nice & quiet, shepherds hut was compact & cosy. 3 of us stayed for a night and we slept brilliantly, we didn't need heating but we imagine the log burner would of been lovely in winter. All told, a great place to get your head down with everything you need for a stay for a couple of nights or just a stopover.

Great to be back for a return visit. As always everything was clean and tidy. Andrew and Lisa are great hosts and always go above and beyond to ensure guests have a fantastic stay. There's plenty to do in the area, I spent the weekend cycling and it's really easy to jump onto the Waskerley Way, which is about a mile from the farm.

Beautiful colourful cozy cabin , shower&kitchen was set up perfectly with everything you could need. Private and great views of the mountains from the big grass field and a loch a 10 min walk across the road.Emma was a friendly and helpful host .We had an amazing weekend and would definitely recommend to other couples.

The cabin is lovely and we especially enjoyed the log burning fire and seating area with comfy swing chair and hammock. Steve was very friendly and helpful. Perfect place to go to relax and Forres is beautiful too.

Great little bolthole for a weekend away. Basic cooking facilities (microwave, toaster and kettle) but perfectly adequate for breakfast prep. Andrew was great and with a friendly welcome even though we arrived quite late. Great location perfect for exploring and day trips to Beamish (a must!).

Remote and peaceful location but within a drive of many beautiful scenic places. We loved feeding the horses and sitting on the wooden decking eating and drinking. The big double bed is super comfy and the little hut has all the basic necessities. A lovely play to relax and great for doggies. Host was there to greet us and messaged in advance to make sure everything was set up!

If you looking for a peaceful retreat with a view of nature & animals this is the place for you. Definitely be coming back in near future

I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was. I wish we could’ve stayed longer! It was a perfect location for the things we wanted to do. Rachel and Colin are extremely friendly and helpful. The hut was very cozy and spotless. The view was incredible and we had perfect weather. They provided us with recommendations which were very helpful. I hope we can return to the area in the future and would love to stay here again!

The Wagon was amazing, even more beautiful than the photos! It was very comfortable, with lots of kitchen equipment and everything for a relaxing stay. The surrounding were very nice and you could even hear a owl at night 🦉. The owner's were friendly. It is in close proximity to lots of great sights and hiking. We would recommend and definitely would stay again.

We arrived later than expected due to a traffic issue. This was no issue whatsoever and communication was flawless. Maggi is very friendly and gave us a warm welcome and showed us around (we even got to see her 8 ducklings 🥰). All in all a very nice experience and a very peaceful place! We’d love to come back!

we arrived late but the accommodation was as described with easy to follow directions .It was clean and reasonably well equipped.We had a great nights sleep as the bed was very comfortable and there was no noise.I woke up feeling refreshed and took my dog for a wander,it was an added bonus to have a lovely riverside walk on the doorstep Thanks

We spent 3 nights in the lovely little accommodation and had a really nice time during our trip in the Scottish Highlands. We had all we need and everything was as described :) Lisa made it very easy for us to find and enter the lodge.

Excellent place for our stopover in Loch Ness

We had an amazing 4 night stay, our dogs LOVED the field, it was so lovely to be able to let them out and know they had all that space to roam around in safely (it’s well fenced so no worries there) We had amazing weather apart from the last day but snuggling up with the log burner was also a lovely experience. The hut is beautiful, the bed is very comfy and we really enjoyed the outside kitchen, there was a slight issue with the toilet but Grace was great about it when we met her on our last day! We’d recommend the butchers in the village and the shop is very well stocked too. There are so many great walks and it’s a gorgeous part of the world to explore. Thank you Cammy and Grace for allowing us to stay in your beautiful place, we’d definitely come again!

I had a wonderful stay at the peerie neuk. Melanie has carefully created a very special place to stay. The hut is clean and cosy with privacy and a stunning setting. I was on a bike and the location made it easy to access all I had hoped to enjoy in Unst. Helpful and practical, Melanie was also lovely to talk to. I'll be booking again. Thank you Melanie!

Such a wonderful place. Loved The Shep. Spent a weekend for the Borders Book Fest. Perfect location. Christopher was super helpful and reponsive and have already recommended to friends. Don't hesitate to go!

The shepherd's hut was cosy, whatever the weather outside was doing! Pamela was very quick to respond with answers to any questions. There were little treats on our arrival and a tasty breakfast box for our first morning. The hut itself is situated in the lovely Sperrins with plenty of places to explore.

Enjoyed a restful stay with gorgeous views from the property.

Deborah and Peter were responsible to questions and very flexible. They allowed us a BBQ and also advised we did not need to rush to check out. We were at a wedding evening do close by, and they made local recommendations for taxis. It is a beautiful and well maintained hut. Fresh coffee, milk and eggs provided. It was a bit bright in the morning so my husband couldn't sleep in (doesn't bother me!) but otherwise all fantastic. Very responsive and welcoming, but also left to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Would return and definitely recommend.

Great cosy hut . Had everything you needed. Paul and Caroline are very friendly and hospitable. Nothing too much trouble.
