Holiday rentals with a patio in Shaftsbury

Our stay couldn’t have been better. The listing matched reality perfectly—stairs and all—and the hosts stayed a step ahead with friendly, detailed messages and a useful house guide. The location is superb: an easy stroll to everything in North Adams and a great jumping-off point for exploring the Berkshires. The home itself was spotless, cozy, and wonderfully quiet. The hosts were extremely understanding of a minor issue (our fault) that occurred. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would gladly return.

We had another wonderful weekend at Barbara & Chad's suite. We've stayed there multiple times and love it for our family of four. The hosts are always responsive and so very helpful. We also love the nearby Berkshire East Mountain resort and nearby local towns. Looking forward to our next visit!

Stayed there for weekend at Battenkill fly fishing festival. Accommodations were perfect. Everything is described. Private, quiet, beautiful views, immaculate inside, comfortable beds, clean, quiet, plenty of space and charming Norman Rockwell Vermont ski type Homestead. Highly recommend.

Susan's place is exactly as advertised and more. Very comfortable and well-equipped space with nice extras - coffee, tea, snacks, firewood and a grill with grill spatula, etc. Quiet, country setting that is a great value compared to hotels in the area. Would recommend and stay again.

We had a good time staying at Sandy‘s place. It was exactly what we needed for a graduation weekend. Really appreciated the extra touch of coffee and tea as well as creamer, a thoughtful touch! It easy to work with Sandy. She was responsive to all my messages.

This was our second visit to Jill’s place. It is immaculate and we wanted for nothing. Linens were spotless! The location is perfect with a lovely porch overlooking the River. We had coffee and tea on the porch it was so lovely. The location was perfect for us to drive and go antiquing. Lots to do. Jill is a consummate host and we hope to visit again! Thank you Jill

Had an excellent stay at Keith’s place! Everything was clean and as described. Keith even reached out to us to let us know we can check in early if we wanted. It’s literally 2mins from Skidmore which is the reason we were there and I couldn’t recommend it more. Will be back when we are in town again.

Our stay at the lake was truly amazing! The house was impeccably clean and well-maintained, and the location was perfect for enjoying the lake. Lisa was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Daniel's place was the perfect home base for our Berkshires getaway. We visited Mass MoCA and loved coming back to this quiet, peaceful retreat. The backyard was especially serene, I enjoyed my morning coffee outside and relaxing by the fire at night. One of my favorite parts was cracking the window open and falling asleep to the soothing sound of the brook out back, pure magic. Daniel was a gracious host, friendly, responsive, and thoughtful. The local charm added so much to the experience, including camels and other farm animals across the street, Farmer Dave is a gem. We'd happily stay here again!

This was the best BNB we have ever stayed in! The house is gorgeous and very well-equipped. It has everything we needed plus a little more. It was tastefully and creatively decorated. The hosts were very communicative and accommodating. It's close to several attractions, and the back lawn is stupendous. The only two caveats I have, which were not impediments for us, were that it's on a busy road (hence traffic noise at night and a risk to small children or pets) and the stairs are steep. Neither of those things bothered us because the rest was absolutely perfect.

Gene’s house is a place of peaceful quiet and beauty. It’s well appointed and comfortable, with wireless and all the various conveniences, but it’s far more than that. The separation between the interior and the beautiful meadow and forest outside dissolves through Gene’s use of windows and glass doors, and the calming sound of falling water can be heard in every room. His use of color and symmetry create an environment that allows you to decompress, and as a result, you can’t help but to connect with the beauty of the forest. The waterfalls are wonderful to sit by; it was too early in the season for a swim in a cold mountain stream, but that’s just me. The design and setting of the home is a reflection of Gene. If you visit, I recommend that you get to know him a bit. His kind attentiveness makes him a first-rate host, but it’s part and parcel of his uncommon connection to the world around him. Gene was more than a host to us- he became a true friend. We will be back.

Unfortunately we could only spend two nights here. We loved the spaciousness of the downstairs. It was great to be able to walk our dog nearby. Williamstown and Bennington are very close. I loved hearing the rain on the roof the first night. The birds were amazing. We loved our experience here!

I had a great experience at Erin's place. Everything about the experience was enjoyable. The home was well-stocked and beautifully decorated. Great little touches like a Bluetooth radio and record player were appreciated. The gym and pool amenities were pristine. We look forward to staying there again.

Ashley has a great place!! It was a fantastic place to visit with my friends and reminisce. Weirdly, this rental turns out to be the place my great grandparents lived and did business as my grandma grew up. I did not have any ghostly contact with my relatives in the apartment (I was kind of hoping and not hoping to see them 😂), but I still had such a meaningful time sitting in the spaces they did so many years ago. Ashley is an excellent host and I will come here again next time I “come home”. 😊
