Our cabin, located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains is uniquely positioned overlooking a large open field where hawks hunt and bears leisurely stroll. Our neighbors have horses that peer over the fence (nosy) pet them but don’t feed them, please. Our cabin was built in 1865 by a Confederate soldier returning from the Civil War. Getaway from the city and escape to the countryside in this beautiful cabin recently renovated. Situated on a beautiful private lake, enjoy your morning coffee on the porch over looking the water, or enjoy the fire pit with the sunset. The cabin features a queen size bed, a full bathroom, a kitchenette, and a cozy living room area. There is also an outside grill and fire pit. We recently updated the kitchen and added a full size fridge/freezer.

In the summer of 2018, we have added an intimate brick patio area suitable for alfresco dining and for fireside sitting. It is peaceful. It is beautiful. You will not want to leave.
