The private rental accommodation "Takasegawa Shichijo" is a fully renovated 115-year-old traditional Kyoto townhouse. The traditional Kyoto townhouse, which forms part of the beautiful scenery of Kyoto, has been redesigned as a building with high airtightness and thermal insulation, while retaining its original structure, so that you can enjoy a comfortable stay even in the humid and hot summers and harshly cold winters that are unique to Kyoto. From the Japanese-style room on the first floor, you can see the tsubo garden, which is designed to resemble a "roji" (*a garden leading to a tea room). There is also a sofa in the hallway where you can relax and enjoy the view of the tsubo garden. In the evening, you can spend a relaxing time watching the illuminated tsubo garden. There are two bedrooms on the second floor: a Japanese-style room with two single beds and a Western-style room with two single beds. If there are 5 or more guests, we ask that you use the Japanese-style room on the first floor as a bedroom by laying out futons, though this may be a bit inconvenient. The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

To ensure you enjoy the stay to the fullest, I set check-in and check-out time to both 12:00 Noon. So you can stay up for 24 hours with one night booking. YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.
