Barn holiday rentals in Sierra Nevada

Lovely place for my friend’s bachelorette with 9 people — absolutely stunning views, cute setup inside, a good amount of room. Marvie was an excellent communicator and fantastic host. The only complaints we had were things that were already described in the description due to being out in a remote location (eg. a few bugs around the house, the water in the showers felt a little odd/filmy). But it was well worth this for the vistas and everything else was super clean & perfect for us. They even leave you a bottle of local wine and have options to set up activities through them (the chef dinner we did was incredible and Chef Brittany crushed it)! This is not about the airbnb, but if you work with Kohmsa stays to plan anything — do not work with Ambrosia, as she is unreliable, uncommunicative, and not helpful.

My wife had stayed here before and thoroughly enjoyed it. That’s what prompted us to stay this time. We only had the ability to stay one night, but it was nice and comfortable. It is definitely quiet.

We had an amazing stay in this lovely home. The entire home was spotless, the running water was warm, and the property was peaceful. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to get away.

A welcome retreat from the haze and the noise and the cityness of the city.

My boyfriend and I were here over the weekend to celebrate his birthday and had the best time. It was easy to find and check in. We loved the personalized notes and dog toys! We even got a bottle of local Chardonnay. The cabin was the perfect size for us. It was clean, well furnished, and beautiful! I even made a nice birthday dinner for my boyfriend. We loved to hang out with the goats and walked over to see the horses as well. They were so friendly and nice. Meredith even let me borrow her muck boots so I could!!! The pond, pool, and surrounding area is gorgeous and lovely to walk around. Top notch Airbnb and service. I hope we can come again.

We had a lovely holiday stay! Family of 3 in town for the holidays, the unit is totally private, cozy and quiet! Kate is very nice and responsive. Super comfy! There are very quiet tenants in the front building. The neighborhood is very nice to walk. Easy to walk to shopping and restaurants. Parking provided and plenty of street parking as well. Highly recommend!

Extraordinary property in the hills above Santa Rosa on the road to Calistoga. There's a bit of a drive in but you get used to it and it feels very private, exclusive, bucolic, pick your adjective. The barn is large, tastefully renovated and extremely well furnished, much attention to detail. It was a bit chilly at night and it's a big old barn but the heaters worked fine and lowering the shades blocked any draft. The kitchen was very well equipped, all modern appliances, easy to use. What's so special is the property itself, you are literally in a hidden valley with viewpoints over Sonoma and vines and fruit trees and sheep and goats and big old guardian dogs and hares and owls and nobody to bother you. Ran into Thai checking things out once, it's a farm, cheerful man, that was it. Then you drive into Santa Rosa or Kenwood or Calistoga and you're in true Wine Country sophistication, of course we went to wine estates and good restaurants. It's very cool and very special.

April’s place worked out great for us: close to the ocean and quality restaurants. This was our second stay, and we look forward to another return.

My family and I absolutely loved staying here. It's in a gorgeous location with a view of the ocean from the deck. You can hear the waves in the distance. There's a hot tub that's in a beautiful spot beside a running creek with a waterfall. The house is clean, spacious, and very quiet. There's a wonderful little trail from the house that connects to the Mt Davis Trail, which is one of my favorite trails on Mt Tam, and is a beautiful little walk to town. Annie was wonderful - friendly, kind, helpful, and flexible. Would definitely stay again.

Sarah's house is full of touches. Lots of positive messages from all corners and many activities provided by the house. Best of all view ! Beautiful view of incomparable location. Super close to entrance to Kings Canyon

What a fine! Great retreat for our family. Close to Nevada City. Set back in the woods. Gorgeous interiors and the story behind this location is simply beautiful. The location was easy to find and everything in the interior was thoughtfully planned. You can tell a Chef had a hand in the kitchen because the dual sinks and gas stove is something to envy. Really great location for kids and the hosts were extremely responsive. We hope to return again soon!

Great place to stay. Host is so nice, communication is excellent, very friendly and making sure all is at the right place. Place is clean, original to stay at and worth every penny of it. I would definitely come back!

Lovely Airbnb in a peaceful location. Every single detail of the space was beautifully designed and spotlessly clean, and thoughtful amenities were found throughout: water in glass bottles in the fridge, snacks on the counter, q-tips in the bathroom, spare blankets near the beds, and a checkerboard and bubble wand in the living room. Both the bunk beds and Murphy bed were extremely comfortable and the water temperature and HVAC settings were easily adjusted to personal preferences. Guests in the Airbnb are able to walk through the orchard, which was lovely and relaxing. This is a quiet area, but there are several small restaurants in short driving distance with good food and a convenience store just down the road. Fresno is about an hour's drive and made a nice day trip. The host (very friendly & responsive) lives on the property, but the Airbnb is at a distance from the main home, so all the convenience of having someone nearby but still a feeling of staying in a private location.

I’ve a great stay at Anna’s place! It was clean, perfectly situated on a country, very peaceful and quiet environment, 30 min drive from national park. I really appreciate Anna’s help with EV charging since there’s no charging stations on the way to sequoias. Highly recommend to anyone!

The carriage house was so delightful. We loved the coziness, quietness and overall special place. We loved being able to have our dog join us. We walked everywhere and would come back to rest and read. It was a lovely place and Khristina gave us so many great ideas for coffee, lunch and dinner. We had a wonderful time. You cannot beat the location!

Roger’s place was wonderful! Very clean and had plenty of space for everything we needed. Unfortunately, we were here for work and weren’t able to enjoy all this place had to offer, but would love to come back again for a vacation! Roger was excellent with the communication and extremely flexible and helpful.

It’s hard to put into words how incredible this place is…peaceful, beautiful and absolute perfection! You feel like you are in a relaxing, quiet little slice of heaven but are only minutes away from so much. Every little detail had been thought of, including the kindest extras from Natalie and Glen, who are the most incredible hosts! If you appreciate kind, genuinely friendly people, and feeling like you are home away from home, you will love staying here. This place is a dream! (I never wanted to leave…actually brought my mother by after check out to admire the beauty of this peaceful setting ❤️)

We had a great time in Carmel at the Blue Barn. So kid friendly. We played by the creek and visited the aquarium. The place is adorable and had everything we needed. Amanda added her own special touches like coffee pods available and special treats for the kids. We loved the Big Blue Barn. It was just what we need for a short stay near Monterey. We were close enough to all of the amenities but had a place to get away from all of the busy-ness of town. Beautiful place. Amanda and her sweet kids we so kind and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay at the house. Everything was clean , multiple comfortable rooms and beds. The pool was a blast! And the outdoor area was great for breakfasts, late dinners and stargazing. We will be back!
