Grahame was a great host; responsive, friendly, and takes pride in his role. The cabin was quaint and the view was beautiful. I would recommend this place for families.

We were truly impressed by this charming and affordable cabin! It offers both privacy and lovely views of the lake. One of the standout features is the ability to bring along your furry friend, which is a huge bonus for pet lovers. The outdoor hot tubs, available for use around the clock, were an added bonus. The cabin is cozy, it is perfectly equipped for two adults and a medium-sized dog, ensuring a comfortable stay. The deck is ideal for barbecuing and soaking up the sunshine. Overall, we were very happy - it checked all the boxes for a memorable getaway!

We loved this place from the moment we drove into the driveway! Very peaceful serene location and I’m sure it would be even nicer in summer (there was still lots of snow and ice so outdoor activities were limited). The house is so big with so many different sleeping options and several different lounging areas so for our group of 11 ladies, we never felt crowded and had options to all hang out together or in smaller groups. The kitchen had everything we needed, the fridge was big and the stove and oven were also adequate to do all our cooking and baking for all meals. There were plenty of towels and the beds and bedding were very nice as well. This place was perfect for our group and I hope we can rent it again. I would highly recommend it to my friends.

Loved the location right by the lake. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Has everything you need. We enjoyed our time.

We had a wonderful weekend, the setting is beautiful and quiet, the view is amazing. Cabin was what we expected. It was easy to book amenities such as sauna and kayak on line. Lots of ice hiking nearby. Graham is very helpful and it is nice to have someone on-site.

The lodge was a perfect place for myself and friends to stay, it was very easy to check in and out, everything inside was clean and there’s alot of space. There’s kayaks and canoes to rent and they’re set up for you in the morning right on the docks that you can also swim right off of. Very reasonably priced and I’m sure I’ll be back!

Our small group truly enjoyed our stay at Blackbird island on LOTW. Alan was responsive leading up to the stay and welcoming while there. Everything we needed and wanted was available. While we typically choose a different adventure location each year, all agreed that we would consider a return to Blackbird Island

We had an amazing week. Great cabin with a beautiful view. We had a lovely stay. The only downside is that you can’t really swim off of the dock. It’s a bit weedy. But the cabin was exactly like they said. It has all of the amenities that you will need. It was quiet and very clean. A great rental.

Mindy was a perfect host right from the start. Her place is absolutely amazing, great views and good fishing from the dock. Will definitely be staying again when ever we’re in Kenora

We had an incredible time at this cabin. The surroundings were stunning, offering complete peace and tranquility. Dianne was fantastic, so accommodating, quick to respond, and genuinely kind. We only wish we could have stayed longer, and we will absolutely return for another stay!

Ashley was an amazing host! We needed to make a last minute reservation and she was able to get us a cabin right away along with an early check in! The cabin was beautiful and right on the lake. We loved having access to mutiple boat landings and being able to have fires at night. Very cozy and quiet area. We plan on going back this winter and making it our new summer vacation spot!

Can’t say enough about this rustic cabin getaway. It’s located on beautiful lake. It was quiet and peaceful. Brant was an amazing host, and made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful couple of days. I highly recommend this little slice of heaven!

We had an awesome time at the cabin. It was very comfortable. Cam was extremely friendly and easy to talk to, made it clear that he was there to help if we needed anything. I think the only thing we missed was not having a camp fire. On the other hand I totally get the fact that it is a fire hazard so it was fine. We took our granddaughter to a little beach not too far away and had a small fire to roast some marshmallows. It was a wonderful time and we are looking forward to booking next year.

The cottage was very comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. There was a beautiful lake view from every room! It was so convenient to have the additional sleeping cabin available, and so close to town!

Marni’s cottage was perfect! It was in pristine condition. The outdoor space was amazing!! Marni had lots of outdoor and indoor toys for my grandkids. They loved it! The kitchen had everything we needed. Communication was outstanding and Marni was always available for questions. We absolutely loved this cottage rental ❤️

Very clean and relaxing. We enjoyed the wrap around deck with the sky chairs! Our daughter enjoyed the rooftop deck to star gaze! Wayne was a gracious host who made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you!
