ColdSnap Studio, set in the north woods.

This home is a spacious converted barn with 2 bedrooms, and kitchen/family room, studio, loft and one bathroom. It is set in the woods just a few miles from Lake Superior. Being off the shore of Lake Superior has it's advantages--it is quieter and at night so dark that if it is clear you can reach out and touch the millions of stars in the sky. The grounds are ample with a large covered patio and fire ring. Reservations less than 2 day prior please message us we will do our best to accommodate.

Our remote OFF GRID Hideaway (NO RUNNING WATER) gives visitors an experience of wilderness a few short miles from Two Harbors and the shore of Lake Superior. Limited solar power is supplemented by battery, and propane lights. Furnace and oven/stove are propane. (NO refrigerator) There is a vault privy (no bathroom), a grill, fire pit and indoor wood stove. We supply firewood and water for washing dishes and hands. We are located 4 miles from Gooseberry Falls State Park with the start of the Gitchi Gami bicycle trail and 2 miles from a Superior Hiking Trail head. Walk up 15 stairs to a comfortable, spacious 2 bedroom apartment with balcony. It feels like a tree house with modern amenities.
