Riverwood Hideaway

This off-grid, solar powered hideaway is on the Knife River just a few miles outside of Two Harbors, Minnesota. The cabin itself is loaded with comfort. A full kitchen, propane refrigerator, solar powered lights and a gas fireplace/furnace offer the conveniences of home. There is an outhouse and firewood for the outdoor firepit. You will have to bring your own water for drinking, but we provide hand and dish washing water at the sink. We have coffee with pour over utensils, dishes, spices.

Absolutely the most amazing home I’ve stayed in! Set back in the woods so that you feel like you’re on a private island. I loved walking to the lake daily with my dogs and even stopped by a cute fishing museum. The town is adorable. I stayed here twice and hope to return in the future!

Super cozy space, with the cutest decorations I’ve seen in an Airbnb. Great location, right in the middle of town, made it easy to get around on foot. We were celebrating a birthday and there were restaurants and bars all within walking distance. The space is great for two people, it is attached to what appears to be a garage so there is a bit of a “garage” smell to the unit. The bed was a bit uncomfortable but no big deal for a couple nights. All in all this was a great choice for a quick stay on the North Shore :)

We loved our stay so much! Even with 2 kids, it felt like enough space for us all and there were lots of things for everyone to do. We walked to the Beaver dam, took saunas, had a bonfire and the kids loved the bucket shower! We will definitely stay again!

If you are fortunate enough, to spend some time on Minnesota’s North Shore, you won’t be disappointed staying here. Brenda and Tom‘s place is exactly as described. It is more than we expected. It is clean, beautifully decorated, and a lovely place to spend a vacation. The location is perfect and so scenic! We enjoyed sitting on the deck and even spotted an Eagle! We had a wonderful time hiking and exploring the surrounding area, including Gooseberry Falls, Grand Marais, and the quaint town of Two Harbors.
