Our very spacious one bedroom apartment is downstairs under our house with its own entrance and spacious patio to enjoy the view of the garden and distant mountains. Tea , coffee and milk are provided upon arrival. We are 2kms from the town center , 3.5kms to Whale Watch therefore if you are arriving by bus or train and walking our accommodation may not suit you 😊 We are 2.8kms to the Seal Colony and Peninsula Walkway. On the way is the Original Seafood Caravan which is very popular.

Black Mountain is situated in the foot hills of the Kaikoura Seaward Ranges and 6km North of the Kaikoura township. The home is designed for short and long term stays, is very private and enjoys a rural aspect. Bedroom, living, dining, bath and deck all enjoy mountain and garden views and it is possible to see the ocean from the surrounds. Comfortable, modern holiday house with mountain views in a quiet cul-de-sac on the peninsula, between South Bay & the town side. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the town side, yet only a short drive to anywhere in Kaikoura. There are decks at the front & back of the house and a great indoor/outdoor flow. The house has most conveniences, with a great kitchen, bean-to-cup espresso machine, comfortable beds & furniture, WIFI, Chromecast, & plenty of off-street parking.

Patrick and his wife are incredibly kind and welcoming hosts. They prepared a delicious and generous breakfast that made us feel right at home. Kaikoura is a stunning coastal town, and Patrick’s House is perfectly located to enjoy breathtaking sunrise views right from the accommodation. Spending a night here added a truly memorable and heartwarming touch to our New Zealand journey.

Sue is very welcoming and gave us a very good stay. The room is very cozy and very warm. The view is the most beautiful B&B in Kaikula. You can see the galaxy at night on the balcony of the room. The room is also very clean. Sue also prepared snacks for me. Breakfast in the morning with hot milk, a very good house, I highly recommend everyone to stay.

A lovely new apartment two minutes walk from the seafront and ten minutes walk from the main shopping area, with a wonderful view of the mountains from the balcony. We had a very nice couple of nights there. Everything was as described. Caitlin was very easy to communicate with and she was very flexible with us as we changed our plans at the last minute, which we really appreciated. Definitely a great place to stay in the middle of Kaikoura. The only small negative was having to take our own trash and recycling to the collection centre when we departed. The centre is out of town, and we had to pay to drop it off there. Thought this is something that the cleaner could have taken care of and it delayed our departure, having to go and find it. Other than that, a great stay.
