Cottage holiday rentals in Spark Bridge

What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

Wonderful 5-night stay at Chestnut Cottage after Rob completed the Great Glen Way & West Highland Way in 6 days! @freemanwalking on YouTube 😀 The hot tub was a real treat for soothing sore muscles. Stunning bay views made the cottage the perfect place to relax. The bed was super comfy, and we loved the little extra touches like the soft robes and complimentary tea, coffee, and milk. Just a short, scenic walk along the promenade to the village for supplies. The weather wasn’t the best, but the cosy cottage more than made up for it. Highly recommend! Thank you Gemma

It was brilliant from start to finish host were fab always attentive and on call location was good as only round the corner there was loads of pubs and food places and only 25 mins to Blackpool really fab and would recommend to everyone

Just returned for a few days away with friends. The place is stunning with a lot of space! Everything was as described if not better. Nicola is a great host, replies quickly and was very helpful. We all had a great time and would 100% recommend to others. Thank you.

This house is gorgeous, such a high standard and so many lovely little touches. The location is great, we walked into Lancaster along the path next to the house and the pub at the end of the road was lovely. The hot tub was a really nice end to our days.

What an absolute gem we found in Apple House. The pictures really don't do the whole place justice! A cosy, romantic house set in beautiful, serene surroundings. It really was the perfect location for our mini moon! Was lovely to be greeted by the chickens and Russel the dog each morning <3 We were treated to some tasty welcome gifts and the place was spotless, very comfy bed and just the most charming decor. Thank you so much Emma and Craig! We will definitely be returning with more of our family!

Sarah has a beautiful home located within a few minutes of some notable places to visit in the Lake District. Sarah was very communicative and answered any questions we had during our stay. The house was very immaculate and is definitely one of the best places we have stayed at any Airbnb.

Susan and Chris were exceptional hosts! They were always quick to respond and provided fantastic recommendations. We really enjoyed our stay, especially because we got to experience some live bands at the Retro Festival, thanks to their suggestion. Their hospitality made our trip even more memorable!

Beautiful cottage - comfortable, cosy and equipped with everything you’ll need for a great stay. Lots of lovely original features - especially the wonderful bath and shower! Beautiful bedrooms with comfortable beds and beautiful views. Peaceful location and conveniently located. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for your stay in the Lakes!

Very comfortable and well equipped cottage for 2 plus dog. Close to all village restaurants and pubs. Private off road parking which is very welcome. Cottage has everything you might need , good wi fi, Samsung smart tv, fully fitted kitchen. Bed is super comfortable and lots of places to walk your dog nearby. Definitely recommend and hope to visit again.

We absolutely 💯 loved our short stay at Nursery end cottage. It was perfect. Warm, comfortable & cosy. It had everything you could think of. We were welcomed with a lovely welcome pack & thankyou card. The cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful area surrounded by sheep and hills. We chose to stay here as it wasn't far from Scafell pike. I would recommend to anyone to stay in this cottage and would definitely book it again. It's just beautiful. We only wish we could of stayed longer.

Fabulous little find here. Very functional cottage with some fantastic views. Need to be able to drive but that’s not really a big issue. Very responsive and helpful hosts who made the stay very easy.

Location is great - a couple of minutes walk from the local pub (which is well worth a visit) and there are numerous great walks from the doorstep. The cottage was clean, tidy and had everything you could possibly need for a stay in the lakes. It’s a real home from home with Netflix on the TV and various board games to keep you entertained. Jo was super friendly, responsive and all in all a great host. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Great to have a view of Coniston Lake. Cottage was extremely comfortable and homely & had everything needed for our stay. Martin’s instructions to find and access the cottage were very comprehensive which really helped. Martin also provided lots of information on places to eat and visit and responded well to any issues. Coniston is an ideal location to access the Lakes and would recommend the area and Martin’s cottage to others. Would love to return one day.

Anya’s house was very comfortable and we felt right at home as soon as we walked in. The instructions provided were easy to follow. Each room had heating which was needed as one night was quite cold. It was great to have a washing machine. The location was within driving to restaurants and pubs and there was plenty of pamphlets of things to do and see in the area. The tiny snug was very cute and cosy. Highly recommended

What a gem! Beautiful inside and out. Charming decoration, equipped with everything you could need. Superb, peaceful location with great access to walks and pubs. Lovely little garden for sunnier days and a cosy wood burner for when the weather (inevitably) changes. Felt very at home. Hope to return 🤞

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at Crook a Beck Barn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property. It is well equipped, with a great kitchen, plenty of wardrobe space and a large walk in shower alongside a large bath. It is in a peaceful setting with beautiful views and has all levels of walks available straight from the property. We enjoyed the extras especially the lemon drizzle cake made by Judith. We will definitely books this property again on our next visit to Patterdale.

We recently stayed at the cottage for a wedding and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Tom was a fantastic responsive host and very accommodating for early check in which was a huge help. The cottage is beautiful, well equipped, clean & perfect for a weekend or weeks stay for a large group! We hope to return again soon - thank you!

What a great little place. Cozy and welcoming in a quiant surrounding. The house was spotless and perfect for everything we needed. Walking distance to the pub, walking distance to the lake and other scenic spots. The railway at the bottom of the garden made the experience even better for our 2 kids. Would recommend this place as a great base to explore the lakes. Thanks for a brilliant week
