The first thing that im sure everyone wants to see. the surroundings. far beyond expectations. stunning and so quiet. also dont miss out on stepping out in the garden at night. a night sky full of stars, as stunning as the scenery in the day. Really is the ideal getaway in nature. Effortless check in and plenty of information/recommendations provided by Lindsey prior to check in. accommodation itself was cosy and well equipped

This is a perfect stop between Johannesburg and KZN. We have stayed here before and I highly recommend the barn. Beautiful view and excellent host. Thank you! We will be back.

Absolutely love this place, it’s a gem, very peaceful and looks just like pictures! I also that the coffee station had rooibos, a lot of places will have coffee and normal tea, but never rooibos, Wydford had it all! The hand and body wash were also a dream 🥹! The only thing I would ask is that they have it on sale like the canned beetroot and pickled beans . A place I would highly recommend, even in winter as there is an electric blanket and extra blankets in the bedrooms 😌

Tugela river lodge is the perfect blend of nature and comfort. Highly recommend for anyone looking to disconnect and recharge!
