Swallow Cottage, Auldgirth - north of Dumfries.

Swallow Cottage was lovingly converted by Steve and Sarah from McMurdoston's old granary in 2014 and provides a wonderfully peaceful place to stay while exploring Dumfries and Galloway. The cottage is only 20 minutes drive from a 24-hour supermarket, a cinema and numerous eateries, but once you get here you'll feel as if you are truly in the middle of nowhere. We live just across the yard if you need us and we'll do everything we can to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and quietly memorable.

What was once a chicken shed is now a sweet, cosy pet-friendly cottage perfect for families, adventurers, readers, writers, nature lovers. There are two bedrooms (one king size bed, one twin), a wood burning stove, lovely fresh characterful décor, books, a spacious kitchen, stunning views. You can explore beautiful beaches, great small towns, rolling hills or just enjoy looking out the window. You'll hear owls, see hares and red kites and get a taste of this undiscovered corner of Scotland.

Truly luxurious holiday accommodation in a tastefully converted byre, set in a tranquil, rural location, but ideally located for all that the south- west has to offer. The cottage is beautifully presented with hard wood floors and finishes throughout, including a wood-burning stove in the spacious living room, sumptuous beds chosen for their quality and comfort, and fully equipped to make a superb holiday cottage. Staying in the centre of town, close to takeaways, a brewery, galleries, shops, park and Carlingwalk Loch. Facilities include a 50" smart tv, fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, table and chairs. Free WiFi. On street parking outside the property. Set on the banks of Loch Patrick in SW Scotland, our shepherds hut sleeps two, has a wood burning stove and beautiful views. Netherthird is a stunning detached farmhouse set in a wonderfully elevated position, with the most glorious views of the surrounding Galloway Hills. Netherthird was fully renovated in 2020 and has been lovingly furnished to ensure a truly comfortable and welcome family retreat. There is an amazing barbecue hut, with charcoal barbecue and ample seating, perfect for enjoying with friends and a glass or two of wine. Relax in the large hot tub taking in the clear dark skies at night.

Four bedrooms, three bathroom cottage sleeps 8 cottage has been restored to the high standard and the modern extension to the rear with floor to ceiling glass on three sides is where the kitchen,dinning and family room is , this takes in the amazing views of Knockendoch and Criffel. Brigston Cottage is one of the oldest in the hamlet. It is centrally located in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway Ideal for exploring the whole area.This is a non pet property.

2 king size bedrooms, one ensuite with a further 2 single beds and wc on the mezzanine level. A bathroom with shower over the bath. Fully furnished kitchen with washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher. We have a dog secure garden and a shed to lock bikes in. We are between 10/30 mins from 3 of the 7stanes cycling trails and 6 miles from several beaches or hills for walking. You are 5 mins drive away from the market town of Castle Douglas.

A Victorian Schoolhouse, now a cozy and stylish home. The Old Schoolhouse has 3 bedrooms, shower room & en suite bathroom. Wood stove in the lounge, open fire in the kitchen, and central heating. Light, bright, with a large garden looking onto the fields beyond- snowdrops in the spring, cherries in summer, and apples in autumn. The occasional escapee hen wandering about. The perfect place for a proper holiday.
