‘The Den’…a rural haven in Suffolk

ElizabethRating, 5 stars2 days ago
The Den is in a great location - in the heart of the peaceful Suffolk countryside yet only a 10-minute drive to Hadleigh and about half an hour to Sudbury with its attractive market place, peaceful water meadows and fascinating Gainsborough House gallery and cafe. Our hosts Tessa and Robert were very friendly and welcoming. The Den is near to their house and they were available and helpful if needed, without being in any way intrusive. The Den itself was perfect for our weekend get-away. A cosy space, it was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The covered 'loggia' in front was an added bonus. The weather was hot and sunny during our stay and the 'loggia' was a perfect place to sit and relax on a warm summer evening, surrounded by birdsong. Many thanks Tessa and Robert!

The Cart Lodge

SallyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Cart House is the most beautiful and tastefully furnished AirbnB we have ever stayed in. It was spotless and every little comfort was catered for from the super comfy bed, the soft fluffy towels, Neals Yard toiletries, a delicious selection of breakfast goodies, treats and herbal teas. The setting is stunning and we had both breakfasts sitting outside on the patio. We just couldn’t find anything that wasn’t perfect about the place. And Annie and Nick were so friendly too. Would highly recommend!

Bear House, Nayland, Suffolk

KatieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We enjoyed a relaxing weekend at Bear House. Marcus is a fantastic host, replying promptly and helping whenever we had questions. His house and gardens are spectacular and we loved our swim in his natural swimming pool. Nayland village is beautiful. We enjoyed a short walk along the river spotting a heron, several varieties of poppy and admiring the riverside houses on the way to the Anchor pub. We also enjoyed brunch at the old mill and a meal at the Angel, which is 5 minutes’ drive away in Stoke-by-Nayland.

Private, two bed accommodation in medieval house

RobRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had a long weekend break here. Patsie’s home was lovely, had everything with needed and in a great location, just a very short walk away from the local deli/cafe and pub both of which were lovely. The home itself is a very old quirky building, full of character and charm. With lots of interesting artifacts around the house and garden. The bed and pillows were better than any hotel I’ve ever stayed in, so comfy. The garden was lovely and peaceful with the added bonus of the pool which we made good use of. Patsie was a fantastic host from the moment she greeted us. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Patsie is kind, very friendly and helpful. We will hopefully be booking again in the future.
