I really enjoyed my stay at Helena's. The space was fantastic, very clean and well stocked, and in a beautiful setting - both in the grounds of the house and the village. It was really convenient to get to Oxford both on the train and driving. There are plenty of pubs to choose from and a Co-op a short walk away. I can highly recommend staying at Helena's and hope to return again soon!

The perfect escape! Farahnaz and Paul are really helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The Summerhouse is so secluded and cosy. it really is a proper escape from the "Busy Life" Shakurs on the corner is a great place to eat if you get the chance. Thanks again Farahnaz & Paul, We will be back.

Celebrated our 1 year anniversary and it was absolutely lovely, we are definitely going back! Lynden was so lovely and gave clear instructions that made finding eveything so easy, love our tour of the farm and feeding all the animals that were so friendly! The room was really nice and decorated so beautifully & really appreciated the complimentary snacks. We loved the hot tub, lighting the fire for our marshmallows, and how close the animals got to us! Was a lovely place to stay felt so at home and welcomed, would define my recommend :)

Everything was just perfect. Very easy checkin, clear instructions on how to use everything, beautifully furnished with great amenities, loved that we could buy local produce too. Highly recommend staying here if you want to be at one with nature and have a few days to switch off. We will definitely be back!!

Wow! What a fabulous, totally relaxing weekend in the most beautiful and peaceful surroundings. We (and our 2 miniature Dachshund) just loved that as soon as you stepped of the front door, there was so much garden, woods, lake and fields to explore. And don't forget the peacocks, Roger and Kevin, adding that magical touch passing right by the front of the cottage. Jean was so lovely too. We absolutely would love to return xx

We had such a lovely stay! We arrived to lots of small additional touches, which made the stay very special. The hut was also incredibly comfortable and serene with it’s views overlooking the fields. Perfect for a quiet getaway. Such a lovely host also, would definitely recommend!! x

our second visit to donnas place loved it the frist time loved it even more this time, friendly welcoming, nothing was to much hassle, will definitely be returning again and again, lovely peaceful location, break away from the busy hussle of work life. worth every penny, highly recommended

The Shepherds Hut was amazing, so cozy, clean and comfortable. Trish has thought of everything. The table and benches turn in to the bed base, with space underneath to store your bags. The bed was really comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep. The shower was great, towels provided. It's in a really quiet location and we had the added pleasure of seeing a glorious peacock on our arrival ! Trish is a really great host, lots of attention to detail such as: fresh free range eggs, cans of gin and tonic, chocolate biscuits, milk and a bottle of cold water in the fridge. Plus marshmallows for melting by a fire and a jar of sweets. Games to play, a folder with details of local pubs (all dog friendly), maps for local walks and booklets of places to visit. We recommend the Red Lion at Castle Eaton, a really friendly and welcoming pub, with very tasty food. We really enjoyed our weekend, so much to do and right in the heart of the Cotswolds. An absolutely perfect place to relax and Karen was a perfect host. The accommodation is very well equipped and comfortable. We could have just spent our 3 days on the patio with the stunning views and the sound of birdsong and sheep. It is so good for the soul and general feeling of well-being. We loved it.

Amazing 2 night stay!! Super easy to find and in a nice and private location with really good local food restaurants. The hut was clean and provided everything we needed to cook when we wanted to as well as a nice relaxing garden space where we could hear the local chickens, horses and sheep. Georgina also gave us some amazing recommendations which we made good use of during our stay!! Check In was super quick and easy! Short walk from a great pub / restaurant called the Fox at Oddington where we ate on our second night. Overall, great stay. Highly recommend

Rachel is an amazing host. Let us know that we could check in early and greeted us with some delicious cake and milk. The hut is beautiful and the outside space is great for dogs. The land is great and you don’t feel like you are staying on someone’s property it feels very secluded and we could walk the dog around Rachel’s field which was great. On a hot summers day the hut can get quite toasty which is something to be mindful of if you have a dog but Rachel does provide a fan which is great for cooling down. Kitchen was well equipped with a hob, oven and microwave. Great fire pit and BBQ. Overall amazing stay at Rachel’s Shepherd Hut!

A gem of a place to stay. It is well equipped with everything we needed and situated in a lovely garden. The friendly village pub is an easy walk away. Had a nice walk around the tranquil pretty village. So envious of the people living there!!! Would definitely like to come back.

This place that Katie has is truly beautiful, it was a perfect stay and to be honest didn’t want to leave and could have spent a lifetime there and wouldn’t have been a wasted time. It a lovely space and very cosy with the best view anyone could want just outside the doors.

Debbie has been really engaging appearing to really want us to make the most of our stay, with good instructions how to get there and tips how to make the most of our visit.

A beautiful hidden gem in the Cotswolds countryside! You can get more peaceful and relaxing than this! A lovely cake on arrival, clean fresh bedding and towels. Everything you need in the kitchen. A lovely little courtyard and dog friendly. We had an amazing 2 night stay for my birthday. Finding the games, Scrabble and connect four gave us a few giggles. Lovely walks around the area... I highly recommend this beautiful converted barn / mill house. It has everything you need from toiletries to blankets and fans if it's hot to logs if it's cold. We would be back in a heartbeat 💓 thank you Valerie & Marcus!

My Girlfriend and I were looking for a beautiful nature retreat. The Hide was exactly what we were searching for. Amazing location with so much to do nearby yet very private and amongst the wilderness. With dear roaming outside and the morning bird song it was perfect. Immaculate and well looked after, we had zero problems or complaints.

We had a lovely stay at Alice’s Shepard’s hut, it was perfectly situated and fully secluded. The hut itself was super cosy, the log burner was a great touch - easy to use and warmed the hut up quickly. The bed was super comfy and snug also. Sadly the weather wasn’t fab for us so we couldn’t utilise the outdoor bbq or furniture much however with the right weather I imagine it would’ve been perfect. The hot tub was the star of the show, we found it to be super easy to use & didn’t take too long to warm up once it got going. The hut faced onto fields as far as you could see, with cows in the field opposite making a lovely bonus. The location was great, it was within 30 minutes drive to all major Cotswold villages - all a must see! There was a local pub which sadly we didn’t utilise due to weather and shops a short drive away too. We’d love to return to Alice’s hut, especially with some warmer weather as I imagine the sunset while in the hot tub to be truly breathtaking. Thank you!!

Had a great stay. Loved the welcome basket! Had an issue with the hot tub and Chris came and fixed it straight away. Only suggestion we have is some sort of airer, maybe under the shelter by the door, to dry the hot tub towels when it is raining. Would highly recommend.

What can I say…fantastic. Stayed 2 nights with 4 friends as one was turning 40 over the weekend. Your very own private space, right on the river Avon, with a small rowing boat to use at your own pleasure. Cooking was all done on the BBQ, although if making stew or similar you could cook over the fire pit further out in the field. The toilet is very basic, but it says that in the description, and we had no bother with it. Overall, a brilliant back to basics spot, that I’m glad I found. I will definitely recommend it to others, and hopefully come back in the future with my family
