Shelby’s was the perfect cottage for our stay and she was so friendly and helpful. Perfectly situated for South Mainland and with everything we wanted. Fresh eggs available about 50 metres away, a wonderful local shop. Curlews and their chicks on plain view from the kitchen window. What more can you ask?

Lovely cottage with uninterrupted view of the sea. Very private and very quiet with just rabbits, birds and delightful Shetland ponies as your neighbours. Extremely convenient for the airport and an excellent base for touring the southern part of the mainland and the fantastic birdwatching on offer in the area. The Croft House Museum is well worth a visit, as is Hillswick Wildlife Sanctuary a little further away - home to Smudge, the Grey Seal who will steal your heart.

We had a great time staying here and highly recommend! The accommodation is clean, comfortable and all newly kitted out. We had everything we needed for a short self-catering stay and would also have happily stayed longer, there was plenty of room and beautiful places to visit nearby. We also had fun crossing the airstrip at the nearby airport & spotting puffins at Sumburghhead lighthouse.

We really enjoyed our stay in this studio, it is beautifully decorated and well equipped. It is perfect for 2 people and well situated for exploring Shetland. We really couldn’t fault anything and would highly recommend this listing if you want to stay relatively close to Lerwick.
