The main house and the sleeping area (a barn where indigo was stored) have been demolished due to aging, but the historic living room and garden have been preserved to allow guests to experience a little bit of that time, and it is used as a farmhouse inn. In the old days, "Indigofera" grew on the fertile land of the Yoshino River basin in Tokushima Prefecture, bringing great wealth to Tokushima Prefecture (Awa Province). Ancient documents on indigo, including cultural properties, are also available for viewing. Also, please use it for living on Awaji Island and rural life. You can relax and enjoy the BBQ, bonfire, etc. in the garden. You can fully enjoy the nature, such as the garden and the back mountain. A villa on Awaji Island where people who liked art and playing in the sea, whom I met by chance, lived. The house was built on a hill overlooking the sea in a villa area called Richland. From there, you can see the Seto Inland Sea and, depending on the season, watch the sunset. The moment I entered the house, I liked it at first sight, as it conveyed the feeling that the former owner enjoyed using it. The owner was selling the house because they no longer used it, and I spent about two years carefully renovating it myself. While maintaining the original qualities of the building, it was carefully renovated to suit the modern travel style. The nearest subway station is Higashimikuni which is on one of major subway line in Osaka. It's easy to access lots of popular and famous places!
