"Chirin" is an old traditional house close to the World Heritage site "Asuka-Fujwara Palace", limited to one group per day and for up to 3 people. Opened in July 2026. Please have a peaceful time away from your daily routine while enjoying the babbling of the stream and the seasonal breeze. We are gradually renovating this old Japanese house and preparing it as an inn. There are no state-of-the-art amenities or perfect soundproofing, but you can enjoy the sounds of birds and the wind and a quiet time unique to the countryside. It can be used by everyone from solo travelers to families as a base for touring the Asuka Historic Sites, strolling around Takatori-cho, and going out to the Yoshino area. The host also lives in the same building, so please feel free to contact me if you need any help. We value a quiet environment, so it is not suitable for parties or gatherings that go late into the night. We have carefully arranged every detail to ensure you have a comfortable stay. Mahoro-no-Yado [Renovated old house for rent. Discover the unspoiled landscape of Japan in Asakura, Asakura]

Asuka no Mahoroba is a renovated farmhouse built in the Edo period. The separate building was revived as "Mahoro-no-Yado". While retaining the old charm, we renovated it using Yoshino cedar and cypress to make it a relaxing place to stay. One private rental limited to one group per day. Feel free to spend time with anyone. With your partner, family, and group! Of course, solo guests are also welcome. This is a detached single-story house with a private entrance at the back of the garden. It is located in Asukamura Kawahara, the center of the "Asuka" region where Yamato Takeru praised its beauty. Nearby, there are many attractions such as "Kohokuji Temple", where the first sutra was copied in Japan, "Tachibana Temple", the birthplace of Shotoku Taishi, and "Amakashi Hill", which overlooks Asuka Village and the Yamato Sanzan. "Mahoro" is an ancient Japanese word that means "a wonderful place" or "a place to live" in the words of Yamato Takeru. Enjoy the relaxing flow of time at Mahoro Inn. The main house of "Asuka no Mahoroba" is currently operating a rental space and is looking for a new tenant. The dirt floor and garden of the main house are common spaces for all users.

Yasaka is a fully renovated, 250-year-old private rental house. The location is Asuka, the place where Japan began. It is built in the Kayanomori district, surrounded by mountains. A 5-minute drive away is the famous Ishibutai Kofun and Inaike Rice Terraces, which were selected as one of the top 100 rice terraces. You will be soothed by the warmth of the old wooden house, the flowing river, and the sound of birds. You can relax in a natural environment. Activities such as barbecues, campfires, tent saunas, and cycling are also available for a glamping experience. We do not provide dinner. The kitchen in the old private house is fully equipped with all the tools you need to cook for yourself. BBQ ingredients or hot pot ingredients are available upon request. The interior is decorated with joinery and stairs relocated from a 100-year-old private house, and a single board of Yoshino cedar. Welcome to the old private house KATUEMON. My house was built in 1824. Next is the historic Nara houses built in 1914. The room that can be used as a bedroom is the structure of "SYOINZUKURI" that allows you to glimpse the masterpieces of Taisho era. In the courtyard, "Asuka no Rock" and "Sado no Akaishi" are scattered and pine, plum, beautiful trees beautifully decorate the garden.
