Location Opened in May 2024. Located in the heart of Takayama's historic district, Makoto-ya Ojin is a stylish inn in 1-chome, Ojin-cho, Takayama City, where the good old Japanese landscape remains. In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). Enjoy Takayama's history to the fullest in an excellent location. <Building and Hida master carpenters> Built 145 years ago by a master craftsman from Hida, this building has been revived here by modern craftsmen. Located in the northeast of Azumino, the former Meiko-cho overlooks the Northern Alps, Meiko is a place where the Sai, Takase, and Hotaka rivers converge, and is blessed with abundant spring water. There is a "beautiful scenery and tranquility that you want to leave behind" here We renovated an old building in Meiko, revived it into a retro-modern space, and created a rental inn. We put our heart into it, hoping that you will spend a rich and luxurious time relaxing and enjoying the air of Azumino It is a 5-minute walk from the facility to Meiko Station, and you can get to Matsumoto Station in two stops on the Shinonoi Line, so you can sightsee in Matsumoto It is also easy to get to Nagano. Kiso Valley, Nagano Prefecture | A quiet, privately rented accommodation built in 1931

Located in the town next to Narai-juku, Nakasendo's post town, a historic town that has flourished as a region for lacquerware from the Edo period.It was built in 1931 in this town, which was designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings and still has many lacquerware shops. Our house is available for rent as an entire house, limited to one group per day, without meals.It takes a little while to get here, and there are no supermarkets or convenience stores in the area, but that's why I think this place has a quietness and a casual, simple beauty to everyday life.It would be nice if you could stay like living in this old town, such as reading, walking, local sake (sake, wine), and sleeping slowly. There are no screen doors in the old houses nestled between the mountains and valleys, so in the warmer seasons, wildlife may enter.The 95-year-old building is not polished to a high shine down to the last detail.We are preparing to welcome you as clean as possible, but we would appreciate it if you could come with a big heart. We use the accommodation fees we receive from you to repair the building. First, I would like to take care of this wonderful house for about 20 years so that it can be passed on to the next generation.

Enjoy the view of Lake Nojiri, with a private sauna, Anoie (あの家)

This house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a superb view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, Madarao) about 15-20 minutes away by car, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)

Wakuku, a detached house on a hill in Owarano, Yao-cho, Toyama Prefecture. Meals available (extra charge).

"Yoko's Inn Wakuwaku" is a "separate" inn adjacent to the creative home cooking restaurant "Wakuwaku", limited to one group per day. There is a private entrance. The first floor is a living space with a dining table, and the second floor is a bedroom. From the window, you can see the vast rural landscape and the Northern Alps Tateyama mountain range in the distance. Guests can optionally have breakfast, dinner, etc. (breakfast 1,000 yen, dinner from 2,000 yen. Please ask). Features of this inn include songs and saxophone performances by the owner couple, a wood stove experience, a barbecue in the garden, and calligraphy lessons (extra charge).

HAKU is a Japanese Style Villa. You can enjoy your private time as in your home. “HAKU“ is one of the readings of the character “百” which means “hundred”. Medieval Haiku poet, Basho Matsuo likened eternal passage of time to "百代の過客", a permanent traveller. In his time, a hundred years was expressed as eternal. HAKU was originally built as a farmer’s shed about a hundred years ago. It was recently relocated and renovated for another hundred years. HAKU will welcome you as traveling companions.
