Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Tāwharanui Peninsula

The two suites were perfect for us, giving couples some privacy but having a communal lounge/kitchen. Ali was very thoughtful and caring.

It was a great stay and the hosts were very friendly and helpful to make sure we had everything we needed. Despite a couple of widespread power outages, the hosts still made sure our stay was as undisturbed as possible. And made sure we had power and a warm stay through bad weather. And they even offered for us to move or cancel before hand knowing the weather and the risks that we due.

We really enjoyed our stay . Location felt really private and away from main roads . Location was great only two stops on the bus from the wharf . Having the car available was amazing , made travel around the island so easy .

Very responsive hosts. Accommodation was very clean and had everything you needed. Great sized space for a group, nice extras of spa and fire room for winter. Good outdoor spaces, plenty of space for parking.

We had a fantastic stay at this accommodation! The location is peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect getaway while still being conveniently close to everything we needed. The house itself is well-equipped with plenty of amenities, and the facilities were spotless and well-maintained. One of the highlights was how great the space is for entertaining guests—it’s an ideal spot for bringing extended family together, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy. The hosts were incredibly easy to communicate with and very flexible, which made the whole experience even better. Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-appointed stay! We’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely beautiful house, we had a great stay at Fiona's place! It's a great location too, it was lovely being able to walk down to the beach. Everything is as listed and looks like the photos, would definitely recommend to other guests.

We had such a wonderful stay at Janice’s place! From the start, her communication was clear, friendly, and super helpful. The home itself had everything we needed and more—spacious, well-equipped, and really comfortable. The location was perfect for us, close to everything but still peaceful. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out and relax, which made a big difference. We’d definitely love to stay again!

A welcome place to stay. It was very warm and comfortable with a homely atmosphere. It was wonderful to find unexpected extras; home baking, bowls of fruit etc.

Very private and comfortable, the spa was a lovely bonus. Hosts were very responsive and the stay was enjoyable and easy. 10/10 would recommend.

If we could give Vanessa's place a 6 stars instead of 5 stars, we would. Having renting many airbnbs recent as we holiday in Australia and New Zealand, I would consider Vanessa a top superhost. We stayed for a month. She was responsive and very accommodating. The house is beautifully designed architecturally, and has been furnished with taste and love. The sun streaming in from about 10 am til afternoon made place lovely and warm. The view from the dining area out to the garden made us feel at peace. We were able to pick various herbs and lemons from the garden for our cooking! The kitchen felt like a chef's kitchen and had everything one could think of or need. This is certainly our top Airbnb todate, we would love to come back again !Thanks again Vanessa for letting us stay in our beautiful home.

Fabulous host - clean apartment and very well stocked

Peter’s AirBNB is gorgeous and well stocked. He was friendly, responsive, and on premise much of our stay (which is a private section of his home), but also great about giving us privacy. We especially enjoyed the pool and charming garden spaces - as well as the breakfast food and tea/coffee provided. A few notes that weren’t fully clear to me before arriving: >Washer is on site but generally not for guest use (though we got the OK to do a couple loads when we asked) > There is no living room or indoor common area of the Airbnb space. > There are gorgeous outdoor spaces with shade covering to enjoy for meals at home - but only bedroom/hallway space available indoors for “hang out space” > The Rotary walk area is easily accessible from this space - and the views are even better than the pictures :)

I’m staying for 5 days, Ali’s place is very nice, quiet, clean, safe and private. I noticed that they turned on the air conditioner for me before I arrived at night, so the room is very warm. All the facilities in the room is tide and clean. I had great time. 👍🏻

Our stay at Tui & Nikau was beautiful. The place is so serene, private, and peaceful, and the accommodation had everything we needed and more. The hosts were super helpful and made the whole experience seamless. Highly recommend!

Beautiful surroundings, great accommodation and very friendly host. They provided some nice little extras, heated towels and farm fresh eggs for breakfast (available when the chickens cooperate).

A Magical retreat! The bathtub under the stars was pure bliss & the fire pit outside was the perfect spot to cozy up and enjoy the night 🔥. And the bed? Cloud-like comfort 😴. A truly unforgettable stay. Highly recommend!"

Linda was friendly, helpful & a great host, allowing us to arrive early on short notice & kindly offering a few extra hours on our last day. We enjoyed the stay very much w the serene private backyard & outdoor bath. Great access to the township & local pub just a stroll out the backgate! Highly recommend!

This place was just amazing! It had so much going for it! And the view is even nicer in person. Sharyn is an awesome host and her love for their alpacas and wanting her guests to enjoy them as well is just fantastic 👏 😀 Definitely get the pizzas when you stay here!! Sharyns home made bases and sauces were very very good and the toppings were all ready to use making it a super quick and easy dinner. The bed was really comfy and the shower was amazing!!! thanks again Sharyn and Greg
