Just a step up from the living room and a theatre-style kitchen and serving bar allows even the most gourmet chef to have their crack at cooking anything from the local Whole Foods headquarters. Every amenity is available for the food fanatic, from induction cook-top to espresso machine. Two bedrooms on either side of a long entry hallway provide great privacy for a two-couple retreat. The queen bed guest suite has its own direct access to the backyard with a wall of glass, and its own accompanying bath. The king bed master bedroom is a technical delight, with a ceiling mounted, flat-panel TV that rotates for viewing in bed or in the chroma therapy air jet bathtub. A separate shower stall with digital controls sports both a 12" rain shower head and a hand-held shower wand. The master bathroom, like the kitchen extension is completely clad in a warm zen-inducing bamboo. The owner resides in a studio behind this property and comes and goes like the wind via the side yard discretely. He is available via text and happy to help expeditiously, but in general guests have all the alone time they want or need! Windsor Park is a laid-back Keep Austin Weird neighborhood where, like Austin, kinda anything goes! Trendy spots nearby include the parks, running trails and pools at Mueller, Alamo Drafthouse Theater, Halcyon Coffee, B.D. Riley's Irish Pub, East Austin Yoga, The kNomad Global Bar, Kirby Lane (pancakes!) and the amazing Paco's Tacos, just to name a few. The eco-friendly, HEB grocery center (.25 miles from the house) has everything from Starbucks & Liquor, to pizza & gas just moments away. There are busses which are frequented by the students in the area, and the nearest light rail is at Highland Mall just 1 mile away. However, like most of Austin, the most convenient option is to have a car. This property is used by the owner for entertaining his own family and guests. It's in tip-top shape and decked out with his personal collection of art and books and a chef's dream kitchen. For the caring and refined guest, this house is an incredible repose and a perfect way to really live in a "Keep Austin Weird" neighborhood but also be accommodated in luxury. The guesthouse overlooks a spacious yard that is shared with the owners and their dogs. This guesthouse is bright and airy with vaulted 12 foot ceilings in the living room and kitchen. The kitchen features new stainless steel appliances, beautiful quartz counter-tops and all the basic necessities (including a blender, toaster, coffee maker, etc.). We always provide complimentary coffee to help get our guests day started off properly. The living room features comfortable and modern furniture, including a sofa bed and a 40" television with Xfinity X1 cable provided (with voice command). The bedroom has a queen-sized bed with crisp, lush bedding. You will also find a desk that's perfect for doing a little work (if you have to) on your laptop. The alarm clock has a Bluetooth setting if you want to listen to your own music while reading in bed. In the closet you'll find a full size washer and dryer, wooden hangers for your clothes and an iron and ironing board to keep your outfits looking neatly pressed. The bathroom features natural light which highlights the beautiful accent tile in the shower surround. There is a full-sized bathtub in case you want to take a soak. The entire guesthouse has its own WiFi along with hardwired internet connections. We take our commitment to our guests seriously and want to ensure you have everything you need to make your stay wonderful. Guests will have full access to the apartment. Guests can also enjoy accessing the backyard, featuring a seating area with a fire-pit and access to a propane powered BBQ grill. Check-in couldn't be easier. The apartment has a key pad for entry and guests will be provided with an access code prior to arrival. Some tips for using various appliances and features are located on laminated cards around the apartment (so you can sync your device to Bluetooth audio, log into WiFi, etc.) A simple house manual will be located on the kitchen counter along with some highlights about the area the guesthouse is located in. The guesthouse is located at the rear of a property in Houston Heights. Walk only a few blocks to reach the hike and bike trail. Shop on the famous 19th street nearby, and visit a wealth of local antique shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Our property is located right on a major bus line that makes for a 15 minute trip into downtown Houston where you can access theaters, restaurants and the city's light-rail line that can take you straight to Midtown (where you will find a variety of bars and restaurants) and the Museum District. Street parking is available for those with their own car and the city features ride-sharing services like Lyft and Uber. No smoking in the unit, no pets under any circumstances, no drugs or illegal activities.

Central East Austin is a diverse and dynamic neighborhood that is just a few minutes from downtown and yet still quiet. In addition to offering of some of Austin's best restaurants and music venues, it also has important history to explore. In the last century, highway 35 was a tool of segregation, with east (of 35) Austin providing a rich community for African Americans. See how this history lives on through a plethora of old and new businesses is this burgeoning neighborhood! There is a parking spot that you are welcome to use directly in front of the house and there is also plenty of street parking with no permitting or street cleaning concerns. The closest B-Cycle station is a 15 minute walk away at Victory Grill on 11th St. Many of the 6th St restaurants and bars are a 10 minute walk as well. If you would prefer not to walk, there are a selection of ride share services such as RideAustin (our favorite), Lyft, or Uber. The street has two names, Hamilton Ave and Richard Overton Ave. Depending on your map source you may see either one pop up. Richard Overton is the oldest living American and American World War II veteran at 112 years of age. He lives down the block where be bought a house after the war ended.

Discover several restaurants, a convenience store, community parks and community pool just a few minutes’ walk away from the house. Getting to downtown Austin is a 20-minute drive south. And The Domain which features 100 upscale and mainstream retail stores and restaurants, almost half of which are exclusive within the market, is located within a 10-minute drive. The Howard Train Station is a 6 minutes drive (and 25 minute walk) from my house and can easily get you downtown (final stop is by Austin Convention Center) and back.

One could say my space is curated with vintage finds and what it lacks it size, it makes up for it with lots of charm and personality. I am told that it has a good feeling and it's rather relaxing. I suggest you take a test ride and feel it for yourself. :) You have access to most of the space except closets and the garage. Racks are provided for hanging your clothes however, there are a couple of drawers available in bedroom one. There are keys on the key hook if you are interested in going outside to the back yard. I will be available if you need me for anything. I hope to insure all of your needs are taken care of, however if anything should arise that needs immediate attention, I will insure that someone will be there to male sure things are taken care of. The property is located n a relatively quiet neighborhood with neighbors that look out for each other. The home is less than 10 minutes from the Historic Bishop Arts District, 12 minutes to Downtown Dallas, and 20 minutes from Love Field Airport. If you walk out my door and go across the street, the DART bus stop is right there. You can take this bus all the way to downtown where you can have access to the trains. There are also bikes located downtown as well. There is free parking on the premises.

Nestled on 16 acres w/ oak trees and a 25 acre spring-fed lake, the Barn is decorated just like it was on the show (we did add a 2-story 800 sq ft deck). The place dreams are made of as you sit back, in the very same furniture Joanne picked, while you enjoy watching that very episode! It's a truly magical experience & a must do!
