A quiet, private beach house

This peaceful private beach house allows you to sleep with the sound of the wind and the waves and still access the fun and excitement of Arugam's main street, 5 minutes down the road. A private internet connection, air conditioner, refrigerator, stove, and rent-able scooter allow guests to have a more independent vacation than they would in a hotel. We highly recommend a nightly sunset walk (@6:15pm) down the relatively deserted beach to the top of Crocodile Rock.

There's an open plan master bedroom, living room, bathroom & kitchen area opening onto a shaded porch. The second bedroom is separate with single and double beds. Both have a/c. Surrounded by a small, lovely, private garden with it's own entrance and lots of shade, the bungalow shares a compound with a larger house & garden and is safe & secure.

One of a kind experience sleeping in one of the Cabanas/Tree houses - comparing with older places the well-fitted mosquito-net was a welcomed change. The food is a little pricey but worth every penny, the quality is really good and everything is really authentic. The pizza and the breakfast were really delicious. The crew which worked there worked really hard to make it one of the best experiences we had while traveling through Sri Lanka - they fulfilled every wish. One big plus was that you can order everything, anytime through a simple text message - never seen this before! There is not much to do around the resort but that makes it such a good place to wind down and relax. All in all we can recommend this resort and if we were ever to be around Sri Lanka again, this would be one of our top choices.

Located in a quiet neighbourhood 15 minutes walk from main point - either along the beach for a refreshing morning stroll or through town. Irsath looked after us very well, helping us fight off the mosquitoes, arranging for transport hire, recommending nice local restaurants, and organising our travel onwards. A really diligent and nice guy. The place looks beautiful and when we were there - just before the high season started - it was very quiet. The room we stayed in was rustic as per the photos; it was clean, with a refreshing outdoor shower and a comfortable porch area complete with hammock. As for the area in general, there were many mosquitoes in mid-April when we visited—so soon after the rainy season. Since this is an open-air property, we recommend you load up on anti-mosquito sprays etc if staying here at this time. As noted, Irsath was very helpful in providing these for us.

Amazing location above an epic cafe setting. Arugam Bay is hot! So having the big trees around is such a relief from the rest of the town. Rooms are bright and spacious with good AC. Tharuka and the crew were very responsive to all of our questions and concerns, and we felt they really cared about providing a good service. The bathroom is the only thing that could be improved as the water from the shower goes everywhere. But it dries fast due to the heat (not a huge issue). Thanks guys we loved our stay!!

It’s been a wonderful stay! The room was spacious and comfortable, and everyone was incredibly friendly — both at the accommodation and in the restaurant area. The location is fantastic, right on the beach and only a 10-minute walk to the main surf break in Arugam Bay. For surf lessons, I highly recommend Surf daddy surfschool school He’s a great teacher who not only guides you in the water and helps you find the right surf breaks for your level, but also takes the time to teach you the essential theory behind it.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Der Pool und die Unterkunft waren super. Die beiden Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Wir konnten über sie einen Roller für die Zeit ausleihen und haben einen Surfkurs gebucht. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.
