Waterfront holiday rentals in The Great Lakes

Maybe the best Airbnb attached to someone’s home that I’ve ever stayed in. Such a sweet set up. Very comfortable, clean, private. Thankful for the keurig for coffee and water bottles in the frig. My stay was short but very restful and waking up to have my morning coffee out on the deck and watch the river and the birds was the highlight of my stay. Mark was very good with communicating and gave clear instructions. The Airbnb was easy to find, even in the dark. Of course being attached to their home there was a bit of noise from the kids in the morning but that wasn’t until after 9am and didn’t bother me at all. I’d definitely stay again if I’m in the area!

My husband and I stayed here right after our wedding. Just a little getaway after all the fun and craziness. The Airbnb was beautiful and exactly like described in the description and photos! It had a sauna, a beautiful bathroom with a separate shower and tub, and a beer on tap, which was a fun little bonus! The balcony was our favorite part. We sat outside in the mornings with a coffee and enjoyed the views (and honestly the people watching lol). The lake is literally across the street and the 3 minute walk was awesome. Overall a wonderful experience! Highly recommend if you need a quick getaway or want to treat yourself to a more “high tech” luxury apartment 🥰

My husband and I had a great stay in this beautiful oasis! We enjoyed being out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Traverse City. Angela was great to communicate with and proactively addressed any needs we had. The unit was clean, the bed was comfortable and the view and beach were amazing!

Our first visit to this beautiful home was absolutely wonderful! Lesley and Ian were incredibly friendly, responsive, and hospitable throughout. The home itself is a serene retreat with stunning green views, and it was clean. We especially appreciated the thoughtful amenities, like the availability of kayaks, which added to our enjoyment. Their flexibility and support regarding checkout, even allowing us to enjoy the outdoor space after the checkout time, made our stay even more relaxing. We had a fantastic time and are already looking forward to our next visit!

This was our fourth visit!! We have now stayed in all four rooms and we were in the King’s Den this time!! It felt like coming home as we were greeted with a hug from Taurean and Robert. We had a peaceful three night stay where we spent our time relaxing on the dock, in the hot tub and paddling the river in the paddle boat. Looking forward to our next visit. Glad to have found this little gem!!

Shauna and Matt’s place is absolutely beautiful! It’s right across from the lake with captivating views. All meaford locals are friendly and there is great food! The home was squeaky clean, had all fresh linen, and decorated beautifully! Definitely will be coming back!

Sometimes Airbnb descriptions can be a bit exaggerated, or the photos make the space look roomier than it really is. Not the case with Judi and Dave's place. It was MORE spacious and LOVLIER than the photos and descriptions captured! I felt absolutely at home, there was ample surface area to really spread out during my stay, and the shower was perfect. The first two nights, I took late night walks around the neighborhood and felt absolutely safe. The last night I took a delicious swim in the clean river, much needed in the oppressive heat. When I could bear the heat, I sat out on the deck and read, and when I wasn't at the house, the location was a great jumping off point for activities in Peterborough and the Kawarthas. Many thanks, Judi and Dave! I hope to return.

If you are looking for a peaceful, private location with beautiful views in the UP, look no further! We loved our stay - the house had everything we needed and was in an absolutely beautiful location. We will be back!

We loved this place! The view was fantastic, and watching the sunset from the beach was just so lovely. Would highly recommend this home, and the hosts were great communicators. Check in and check out so easy; instructions for hot tub very clear. There’s a binder with local attractions and a list of restaurants nearby, we found this so helpful. Everyone in my group was so happy with this place, everything worked perfectly and very well maintained. Also very clean!

The nortehaus was definitely an inspiring and well designed space we enjoyed. Nestled in the middle of nature, you can definitely feel the calmness and quietness of it all. Parker was responsive and made sure our stay was seamless. Would book again!

It looks exactly like the photos but the lake is prettier in person. Daniel was very responsive during the entire process and made sure we’d have everything we needed. Made my birthday very special! Definitely plan on booking again in the future.

Very cool place to spend a weekend away with my spouse. Except for the storms the first night, it was very relaxing and private.

Our stay at Agua Norte was absolutely amazing! We stayed in the Loft and loved the space. It’s exactly as described and the property is even more beautiful than the pictures. So close to the town and other great things to do but feels very private and secluded. It is a shared property but still feels private with each space. We loved it so much we didn’t even do all the adventuring we planned because we just loved being there! The Sauna was also wonderful, easy to book, and had a stunning view. We would absolutely come back!

Overall the stay was amazing!! Just watching the sunset and watching the sunrise. Was so beautiful, it felt just like home I even wnt zipping in Boyne and the drive up there was beautiful. I will be back Thank you my husband birthday was perfect

We very much enjoyed our stay; hosted by Missy and Scott. The property is serene and beautiful, and we enjoyed spending time outdoors and observing the wildlife that included ducks, geese, turtles, squirrels, deer, woodpeckers, and butterflies. Inside, our hosts had prepared for everything we could need. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils and cookware, and the bathroom and sleeping areas are clean and comfortable. Missy and Scott were prompt to respond to any messages, and provided some tailored recommendations that added to our enjoyment of the area. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone who wants quick access to outdoor adventure while also offering all the indoor comforts.

Mary was a very lovely host and was easy to contact and was quick to respond. You really couldn’t want anything more than this unit, you’re facing the lake, It’s quiet and has incredible sunrises. It’s really everything you need - especially for a couple. The kitchen was well equipped. Heat and AC, no problems. Everything was exceptionally clean!! I am really crazy about cleanliness and I can tell you I felt right at home here, I didn’t need to clean with my Clorox wipes to feel comfortable. You wouldn’t go wrong renting this unit. It was easy to get around from here we went to the tunnel of the trees, Mackinaw, Petoskey and Charlevoix and Harbor Springs. Lots of places to eat or you could stay at home and make dinner and use their grill. The grounds were very nice and very well kept! So what is my downside to this trip? Well the weather was too chilly, but I guess there’s no controlling that next time. I will know that this early in the season it’s a gamble on whether it will be wa

We loved our stay! The listing was exceptionally clean and amenities were as described. We enjoyed the location and having a coffee shop and (delicious) burger joint in walkable distance was a great bonus! The view of the beach and water right off the private balcony was wonderful and having a heated pool/hot tub combo right on property made this an ideal booking for our family. We’d come back and would recommend to others!

We had a wonderful time at Katie's unit. the views from the balcony were among our favourite aspect of the stay. It was very tidy and well organized. All of the basic items were available. There are restaurants and shops conveniently within a 10 min drive away. Overall, we were happy with our stay!

This was our first time to Traverse City and we lucked up finding this condo on the beach/water! It was decorated so cute with modern/clean touches. Very easy to enter/leave with press-lock. The bed is SO comfortable. We were very appreciative of the 'Welcome' book with recommendations of things to do/places to see around Traverse. Would definitely book here again!

In our experience, it's always rare to find a place that lives up to the hype of the description, however in this case, The Nest exceeded the already great expectations as described. Sure, the photos do the best they can to capture the view that is afforded to guests, but walking into the living room and seeing the view is breathtaking. You'll quickly find yourself trying to decide between taking the time to explore the town of Frankfort (which is great), or spending all your time on the balcony taking in the views. It truly was a welcoming accommodation, and we felt at home immediately. Everything you need is available, and we were very surprised by how large the bedroom was. it was our first time to Northern Michigan, and we cannot wait to return. Charlie and Suzy's location will be the first place we check for availability when we do!

Melanie’s place was incredible! The unit was meticulously designed and thoughtfully curated. Clean and organized as well. The waterfront access/views did not disappoint and getting in and out was easy! We hope to visit again!
