Quietly kept this space in the canyon lends itself to people whom are looking to read, write, relax, unwind, yoga, reflect..... feeling like you want to be on the property hiking all around ( Red Rock Trail Hike 4 min drive ) the property backs to a Creek’s Edge. Mountain View’s everywhere. 10 minute drive to the middle of the canyon brings you to local shops, small local market, artesian restaurants, art galleries and other Topanga staple businesses. Guest have access to the complete guest suite: (Bedroom , bathroom, common living space and kitchenette) Outside table and chairs provide a semi private sitting area as well as deck on roof with Mountain View’s. Washer and dryer in separate area are also available upon request to guest if need be. This property has other units on site.... We live on the property and are welcoming to all. Topanga is a short drive from the Malibu coastline, renowned for surf spots and beautiful beaches. Head toward Calabasas to find San Fernando Valley's fabulous shopping and restaurants. Hollywood and Santa Monica are both a picturesque drive away. It is highly recommended that you have a car to get around. We are nestled in the middle of Old Topanga Canyon. Los Angeles and it’s surrounding areas have great public transportation and Uber and Lyft do come in and out of the canyon but a car is a must given our proximity to outside areas. *** important to know: the Driveway is a little steep. The first time you come down can be a little daunting. Feel free to find parking at the top of the property first time down, or trust that you have plenty of space to turn around and park in front of your rental***

LA, Top of the Hills, Views, Pool, Private Suite

We would like to offer people from all over the world visiting Los Angeles a place to relax after intense sightseeing tours or after a long work day. We created a little suite that has a separate bedroom, a separate living room, and a private bathroom with amazing views of the valley hills and the city right by the pool. Just have a glass of wine at the end of our back yard on top of the hill and watch the moon and stars, do a few laps in the pool, or just watch a movie in your own living room.

Our renovated private guest suite is located on Woodland Hills neighborhood 12 miles from Topanga Beach, 17 miles from Malibu, 18 miles from Santa Monica and 16 miles from Universal Studios. If you prefer to be "off the beaten path" but yet close enough to enjoy the conveniences of town-this is the spot for you! Before booking, please keep in mind that the access to the unit is through an outdoor set of stairs with no railing.

Treetop Oasis with a Balcony and Mountain Views

This guest suite blends vintage furniture and artwork with a 70's-inspired decor. Original wood-paneled walls and countless potted plants complement the gorgeous mountain views and wildlife that can be seen from the windows and private balcony. NOTE: This unit is below our home with an active toddler & across the hall from our office. It can be noisy at times. We overlook horses, so you may hear occasional neighing. If you have allergies to animals, this space may not be best for you.

Oak Forest Retreat

(Feb 2025- The Topanga village and homes were spared from the Palisades fire.) Topanga is a quiet village in the Santa Monica Mountains. Its name means “Where the mountains meet the sea”. We are in an ancient oak forest in beautiful nature just walking distance to Topanga State Park and its hiking trails. It’s only 10 min to the beach/Malibu and 20 min to Santa Monica/Venice or Woodland Hills. The town center with restaurants, grocery stores, gift shops and our library are close.
