Tory Island Arasán Bhalor

Situated 9 miles from Northwest Donegal with a regular ferry service. Tory Island or Toraigh is an island of mystery and antiquity off the northern tip of Donegal. Interesting historical sites include a round tower that once protected monks from Viking raids, the ruins of St Colmcille’s 6th century monastery and the intriguing Tau Cross that suggests early seafaring links to the Coptic Christians of Egypt. The island also boasts an abundance of rare bird life and wild flower species.

Teach Barney in the stunning North West of Donegal 1km from Gaeltacht Village of Falcarragh with views of the mountains and the ocean. The house is comfortable with a large private decked area. Visitors can enjoy walking/cycling on many miles of marked walks including the disused single gauge railway. The cottage has 1 bedroom with double bed , living room/kitchen with stove fire, the sofa is a sofa bed also. cottage has central heating also
