In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). Since it is a private accommodation, you can use it like your own home, but the host stays on Fridays and Saturdays when the shop on the ground floor is open. We also accept pets, and you can bring them when you eat on the ground floor.However, general guests also come to the store on Fridays and Saturdays, so if you bark too much, you can put them in the cage on the 3rd floor.
