Home in Milos

A dream of a Cycladic house overlooking the sea

Welcome to Greece, to my home! It's a family home, typically Cycladic. It belonged to my grandparents and I tried to keep the spirit, while adapting it to the demands of today's life. A village house, accessible by a charming staircase, it is totally protected from road noise. Facing south, (very important, because sheltered from the meltemi, north wind that blows in bursts all summer), it overlooks Klima, a picturesque fishing village (20 min walk and 3 min drive) and the entire inner bay. Very quiet environment of Greeks who live there all year round and who must be respected. Terraces where you can have breakfast and enjoy the fiery sunsets. Inside, a first large common room, kitchen, living room with a small sofa, shower room and toilet, a beautiful bedroom with its "doulapi" (closet) included in the wall. The ceilings have remained traditional, beams and kalami recently whitewashed and whose virtue is to protect from noise and heat, but not from mosquitoes, spiders and insects that can visit us despite the constant care taken to keep the house clean! Despite everything, even if we are very close to the sea, we are also in the Greek countryside, that of olive trees, cypresses, and a typically Cycladic flora; the song of cicadas and crickets, at nightfall. With in the distance, the bells of sheep and the braying of a donkey. This will make your stay exotic and I hope unique!

The apartment is only 600m from the port. 50 m away from the house there is a traditional greek tavern . Supermarket, bakery and other shops are available a fev metres away of the house. The organised and sandy beach of Papikinos is only 400 metres on foot. .Το διαμέρισμα βρίσκεται 600 μέτρα από το λιμάνι του Αδάμαντα,στα 50 μέτρα βρίσκεται ένα παραδοσιακό ταβερνάκι.Στα 200 μέτρα υπάρχει σούπερ μάρκετ και άλλα μαγαζιά. A small (35m2) functional and very quiet house, away from the noise, very close to the capital of Plaka (a 5 minute walk) and the centre of the island. Built at the beginning of the 20th century out of stone the house was recently renovated and combines a traditional atmosphere with the comfort of a modern and simple decoration.

Our stay at Loulou House was one of the highlights of our trip! The house is well designed, clean, functional, spacious, and was equipped with everything we needed. The setting is quiet and peaceful with incredible views in all directions. It truly felt like we were in a painting! We loved seeing the goats every day. Angeliki went above and beyond as a host. She helped us navigate to the house, showed us around the property, answered our questions promptly, stocked the house with plenty of food and water, and even left us with a parting gift. Highly recommend this place for an authentic and relaxing experience!

We had the chance to stay for 4 days at Marilena's. What a delightfull stay it was. The house is fully equiped and climatised. If you want to rest on the outside you got plenty of very pleasents areas to take a nape. Marilena and her familly are very kind people, they left us some food and drinks at our arrival, communication was great, we couldnt have hoped for a better tenant. I'll recommend this place for people how wants to see something different than usuals harbors of the island. Just be sure to rent a vehicule in order to get to the house. We'll surely comeback with great pleasure if we got the opportunity to.

Many thanks to Anna for her welcome, her availability and her advices throughout our stay. We really appreciated her responsiveness and kindness and it made all the difference to our visit to the island. The house was superb, perfectly suited to our expectations, and has left us with some very fond memories. We had an excellent time there, in a setting that was as comfortable as it was pleasant. The view was breathtakingly beautiful. The house had all amenities and was close to the centre (5 mins drive). We greatly recommand the house

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Irene and her husband were very welcoming and responsive. He was waiting for us, even though we arrived past 9:00 pm, and spent time acquainting us with the island (via map), including sights and restaurants. The home was spotless and well situated just a couple streets (and a short walk) from the waterfront. The only drawback we found was the shower. As others have noted, it is tiny. But we managed and had a wonderful stay. We would recommend this home to others.

The Serenity House-Villa Apollon

It's hard to put into words how perfect our stay was at the Serenity House! From the moment we arrived, Lila was there to greet us, direct us to the secluded villa, and show us around. Her and her poolboy ( husband haha) keep the property immaculate and they anticipate every need you might have. Contacting Lila during our syay was always easy and she never once made us feel like we were intruding. We felt like we were visiting family. The property itself was beyond any expectations we had! The pictures do not even do it justice. It's quiet and secluded, tucked away up on a hill - the road in is an adventure in itself, making it feel even more magical. The pool is perfect. The first views as you walk through the breezeway are breathtaking. The space was perfect for our group of 4. I will never forget our days in Milos. Thank you, Lila and Costas!
