If you are searching for paradise, you will find it here! Words can‘t describe the magic of this place. It‘s all about the details of design and living (from the signature house scent and the open-air shower to the tasteful interior design and the infinity pool overlooking the rough cliffs of crete), total peace far away from hustle and bustle and waking up to the breathtaking, unmatched view of the sea right from your bed. Einat was a great host, she welcomed us personally and was always there for any questions. Good to know: In the region are not many mini- or supermarkets and everything is at least a 15 min drive away. But you can enjoy a delicious breakfast at the apartment if you want so and Einats recommendations for great tavernas, beaches and beautiful villages in the area are worth every ride! You should listen to her tips, because some of them were the gems of our crete trip for sure. It was definetly not our last visit. Thanks for the great experience!

My boyfriend and I spent five nights here for my 22nd birthday and it did not disappoint. The photos on here do not do the place justice and the local area is just the right amount of quiet busy also with an abundance of restaurants and bars. We didn’t get a hire car as we managed with the local buses as they are so much cheaper and we were able to get to beaches such as Saridari and Paralia Psaromoura, which we would recommend. We also would highly recommend a boat tour to Dia island if you are able too. Restaurant wise in Gournes we cannot recommend Nami Restaurant enough and it is a must! The beach opposite is a lovely shallow beach but we aware it can be quite windy hence why we explored other beaches - would advise if u go to these beaches you leave early (especially if u want a sun lounger)! We stayed as a family of six, four adults and two children (8 and 5). The set up was really comfortable and worked perfectly for us. The outdoor pool area is great and our two kids loved it - especially as there were lots of inflatables left to play with. We arrived at 3am. Xristos offered to meet us, but when we suggested with young children we'd prefer just to get in and get to bed, then meet up after it was no problem at all. We had instructions to call when we arrived, and the gate was opened for us. We were blown away by how well supplied the house was. Xristos was in touch in the week before to check if we needed anything in particular and couldn't have been more helpful in making sure we had everything we needed to start our holiday. Then we had a delivery of local fruit and wild artichokes as they were in season. Amazing. There was a dust storm before we arrived. Xristos promptly sorted this too. A great and relaxed place to stay, with an unbelievably good host. Thanks!

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in der Villa. Sie ist sehr sauber, traditionell eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Der nächste kleine Supermarkt ist 5 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Ansonsten befindet sich nichts in der Umgebung abgesehen von Privathäusern, daher ist ein Auto wirklich notwendig. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig, abgesehen von etwas Hundegebell oder den Glocken der Ziegen, es ist alles grün und idyllisch. Auch das Grundstück selbst mit dem privaten (nicht einsehbaren) Pool, den vielen Pflanzen und Sitzgelegenheiten, ist einfach wundervoll. Wir hatten Abends immer Besuch von mehreren Katzen, die sich über Futter und Wasser gefreut haben. George ist ein toller Gastgeber, der sich um das Wohl seiner Gäste bemüht und immer erreichbar ist. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

We hebben bijzonder genoten van de locatie en de villa. alle voorzieningen waren zoals beschreven en nieuw. Uitzicht was adembenemend en de villa bood voldoende privacy en rust ondanks dat er drie zelfde villa's naast elkaar staan. Strandje, restaurants en supermarkt waren op loopafstand. Dus we hadden geen huurauto nodig. Plaatsje Agia Pelagia was ook op loopafstand. Is nog redelijk traditioneel Grieks vissersdorp maar wel redelijke toeristisch. Al met al een geweldig verblijf gehad waarbij de host, weliswaar op afstand en zonder persoonlijk contact, steeds online actief was, snel reageerde en proactief informatie verschafte.

Der Aufenthalt im Haus von Maria und ihrem wundervollen Ehemann war einfach überwältigend. Der Ort Charaso ist ein wunderschönes Dörfchen in den Bergen und unglaublich für Erholung. Das Ehepaar begrüßte uns genauso herzlich wie die Einwohner Kretas einfach sind. Wir haben uns in das lokale Gebäck verliebt das uns bereitgestellt wurde und die Empfehlung für das Restaurant Gia mas war wirklich Gold wert. Nirgends auf der Insel haben wir so liebevolles Mezze für so wenig Geld bekommen. Auch die Nachbarn waren so unfassbar Gastfreundlich. Ganz besondere Grüße gehen an Eleftheria (ich hoffe das schreibt man so), wir vermissen dich sehr. Außerdem hoffen wir, dass jeder Besucher etwas Katzenfutter mitnimmt. Abschließend können wir nur sagen: nirgendwo hätten wir den echten kretischen Lebenstyle besser erleben können als in unserm gemütlichen Haus in dem tollen Dörfchen Charaso. Wir haben uns einfach verliebt.
