Zen Garden, Outdoor Hot spring bath, Sauna, Beppu

Our family had an absolutely unforgettable stay at Zen Garden Beppu for the past four nights, and we’re already planning our next visit! The villa was in pristine condition, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and luxurious stay. The outdoor hot spring bath in the garden and sauna were the highlights—pure relaxation and rejuvenation after a day of exploring Beppu. The serene atmosphere and impeccable cleanliness made this experience truly special. The staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We highly recommend Zen Garden Beppu —thank you for an incredible getaway!

Sama-machi Castle-machi Azuki · Vinegar shop just next to the slope of the samurajo

We were lucky enough to stay at Ryo-san's place for 2 nights and I'm so happy we did! It's located right next to Suya and Shioyanosaka slopes, Kitsuki Castle Town Museum and has enough space to fit at least 10 standard Tokyo hotel rooms (IYKYK)! Very homely and an opportunity to experience traditional bedding, plus Ryo-san is incredibly helpful and friendly! Would highly recommend.

Beautiful sunset! Island and sea! Up to 5 people 4,000 yen/night as a simple accommodation (Weird room)

We spent 4 nights here and I wish it was more. The place is big, pretty and quiet, the beds were hot and comfortable. We got lucky with weather (17°c in february) and were able to do a different hike everyday, it's about 1h30 to reach either tops (one south and one north of the island) walking in the forest and with a nice view when you're there. Easy access without a car, there are 2 different ferries from Saiki and one of them drops/takes you 2 minutes away from the house, they cost 150 and 200 yen. Host is really friendly, helpful, knows well Kyushu (and the rest of Japan) and his kids are sweet and well educated.
