Black Range Lodge, Tumbarumba

Welcome to the High Country. A place with a history of pioneers and vagabonds of the past, which you will discover once you delve into the history of our mountain town, Tumbarumba. Embrace the spirit of the mountains and immerse yourself in all that it will reveal. Black Range Lodge is nestled in the heart of Tumbarumba. It is located in the main street, with easy access to all the amenities that the town has to offer. Black Range Lodge offers six comfortable spacious rooms. Each room consists of a plush queen size bed and a king-size single bed made with Cotton Rich Hotel linen and Sheridan Bath Sheets are provided. All rooms open onto a quaint private courtyard. Parking is available at the rear of the lodge. Features Include - Free wifi, reverse cycle air-conditioning, tea & coffee facilities, bar fridge and TV. Please note: smoking is not permitted in the rooms. There are a range of activities to suit all endeavors, from fine wine tasting and dining, bushwalking, fly fishing and mountain bike riding. The Tumbarumba to Rosewood rail trail, opened in 2020, is a 21 km bike trail that meanders through the valleys west of town, traversing through local farmland. The Hume and Hovell Track is a short drive south of town, along with Paddy’s River Falls. Don’t forget to stroll around town to see the Sculptures of the Snowy’s which are dotted around the streets and creekscape. Our family have recently completed extensive renovations to Black Range Lodge. We hope that you will enjoy the comfortable setting that we have provided for our guests. But most importantly, we hope that you enjoy your time up here in Tumbarumba.

Modern additions to the Cottage include central heating, wifi, fully equipped new kitchen, BBQ & fire pit. Sadly we can't accept children under 12 yrs of age or hunters.

"1885" is a warehouse built in 1885, which has been beautifully converted to apartment style accommodation. It is located on Union Lane, behind Ride Tumba and right beside the Union Hotel. You can easily walk to cafes, pubs and shops and it is just under 2 kilometres to the start of the rail trail. The building is two-storey, with a living and kitchen area downstairs and a spacious open plan bedroom with bathroom upstairs.
